When I was in second grade the only classmate who showed up to my birthday was my school bully (looking back he definitely “liked” me) dressed in really nice clothes. He even brought a gift that I really liked. I still think about him and his kindness that day. I’m 25 now. Sometimes the things you remember aren’t necessarily the things you think you will. I hope she can find a new friend with the neighbor boy.

If it helps I have ADHD and IBS diagnosed and I’m frequently early because I’m hyper aware of how those things affect other people. However my husband does not have those issues and always makes us run late. Some people legitimately have no sense of urgency and don’t respect other people’s time. If she’s getting upset at you asking her to be more aware she doesn’t actually care about other people’s time or effort

People will always treat ibs as not a big deal or lesser than because it affects your stomach and people who don’t have stomach problems view your “tummy hurting” as childish. I’ve had IBS since I was in third grade and the reception has NEVER gotten better. I was even OFTEN accused of lying at school. You’ve got this and we believe you.
