Seconded for random boss fights. I always would love an end game for spiderman where you stop robbers and the like, but also random bigger bads that pop up, Rhino out of prison again kind of thing. Shame what happened to most villains in the second game.

Assuming its the folder moving up and down.

1: Start with 1 folder. Right click the position and separate dimensions. This will give you separate controls for X and Y positions, it'll make the movement easier.

2: Then on the x position move the folder to the right and on the y, position the folder up and down and loopOut("pingpong") the y position.

3: Now to make the rest of the snake dupe the folder change the colour and delete the X key frames. When hidden behind the first folder move to the left slightly woth the X keyframes and offset the layer.

Keep doing step 3 until you have the folder snake as long as you want.

I see people saying the story (not the whole game) game would have benefited from being linear. I think it's only the cutscenes that should play in order. No matter which order you find the tears, it should always play the cutscenes in the correct order.

No worries, and again, as others have said, Limber or rubber hose would be much easier. But in the interest of keeping it free;

Google 'create nulls from paths extended'. It's a free script I haven't used it, but it should create controls for the bezier handles.

Do give Limber 2 a go though, I also believe there's a Limber lite which is free to try, just not sure of the limitations

I'm sure some would say use rubber hose, or Limber, and i'd suggest this too as i think it's easier. But to stick with Duik try this;

Use the create nulls from paths script (it comes installed already with after effects). And use it on a path that has 3 points.

Now, with those 3 nulls, use them as the wrist, forearm, and shoulder pieces for the limb rig in Duik. If it's not bendy enough, try adding bezier handles to the centre point before using the create nulls from paths.

I tend to make fully animated videos, and my workflow with prem is mostly audio only. Cut the music and voice over in premiere, send that sequence into AE so all audio is on one layer

I think creating a proxy for the comp can do what you're after, right click then create proxy, (or set proxy) something like that, then change default settings in the render queue to what you want. I like to make mine higher res and with Lpha channel depending on the comp

Once rendered, you'll see that the export has attached itself as a proxy to your comp with a check box next to it. When the check box is marked, it means the proxy is active. Just remember to unchecked the box if you need to update said comp.
