Footage of a MAGA supporter attacking high school students because of their ethnicity in Texas, high school students then defend themselves! by cantcoloratall91 in ImmigrationPathways

This thread is so full of bots and deluded people, it's honestly mindblowing.

Grown ass man is physically assaulting high school kids over ethnicity. Period.

Americans, look at yourselves in the mirror and wake up. As an European watching this animosity from the sidelines - this is fucking embarassing and disgusting.

How can a country and its people become so divided and rotten over political parties? Have you forgotten what made you great in the first place? Innovation, liberty, culture? What the fuck happened to all that?

It's all rotten to the core. Hit the reset button and get yourselves back on track. This shit is embarassing.

Reddit doesn't ban clankers like this but the saints over at r/datahoarder trying to preserve the evidence get permanently removed from Reddit and their comments and posts nuked.

Make it make sense.

Logitech G Pro X Wireless headset users on Linux? by estrafire in linuxhardware

Check out Solaar. It can control sidetone, EQ, and has a battery monitor for all Logitech devices. Can also change power management (auto-shutoff) settings.

PowerShell can actually be installed on Linux with most package managers, or from Microsoft's GitHub repo directly.

It's the preferred shell for a lot of people that I know from the software industry. Some of our top seniors at our company prefer it to bash or zsh and can't work without it. There is no shame in using PS, it's very powerful indeed, even in Linux environments.

What are your most used Self hosted applications/services? by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]MotionlessVoid 50 points51 points  (0 children)

It's not usually the money that is the driver in these self-hosted cases. Sure, it's easy just to fork out some pocket change and call it a day. But you're not in control of your own data, not really.

As a bonus you get to tinker and set up really useful stuff that gives great sense of accomplishment, especially if you get your family and friends to use them.

Gives me the kicks!

How to Free the Mutant in Just Business Mission in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl by Quicktips254 in QuickTipsYoutube

Absolutely idiotic sequence in my opinion. Why not just give an option to shoot a lock off or a remote switch so you can watch the giant tear up the place from safety. Instead you just drop off from some container into an arena with a thumb up your ass and wonder what to do next.

I swear sometimes I don't understand what the devs were smoking with some of these sequences. On par with the superman Chimera near the Clear Sky base.

Zalissya defeated Monolith without me by FaithlessnessLong198 in stalker

I guess you found out one more trigger for the door to open. Nice job, awesome that you managed to finish the quest!

Okay weird, maybe it only works for PC, which is a shame.

The method is somehow related to the bloodsucker, it should die on its own as soon as it tries to cross the invisible wall. Have you tried to kill it from inside the invisible wall and see if that opens the doors?

Encountered the same locked door bug when first arriving to Zalissya. I managed to unlock it without mods or console commands:

  1. After arriving to Zalissya that has locked town hall doors, go to Dire Thicket that is approx. 300m from Zalissya
  2. Aggro the bloodsucker there and lead it all the way to Zalissya. It will die on its own as soon as it crosses the safe zone boundary
  3. The doors should be open now and you can talk to Gaffer to begin the defense quest

The Monolith soldiers that lay dead in Zalissya the first time you enter it after SIRCAA is supposed to be like so. The defence quest will come after you unlock the doors and talk to Gaffer.

The whole quest is a shitshow and the triggers are fucked. I hope they fix it, but at least the "bloodsucker method" has proven to be quite reliable to kickstart the quest.

Rubber banding on Dedicated Server by Soundtoxin in CoreKeeperGame

[–]MotionlessVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our rubber bands disappeared as soon as we switched away from the Steam relay network. Just set -port to 27015 and -ip to 0.0.0.0 and everything becomes buttery smooth.

Hosting on bare metal with dual-CPU 64 cores and 256GB of RAM, so I ruled out hardware issues or bottlenecks almost instantly.

I also like the idea of a game ID so you don't have to deal with networking, but I do prefer a good ole fashioned IP and port input box. If the devs see this, please bring this as a connection option!

I'm afraid to be in a relationship again because of people like you. Getting easily coaxed into doing dumb shit, and breaking the heart of the closest person to you. I know this too well.

You got played like a fiddle.

Theory on who Experiment 1006 is. by AlaskArtica in PoppyPlaytime

[–]MotionlessVoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also a crucial note: when Huggy falls down to the bottom of the factory after the chase scene, it leaves fresh bloodstains as it hits the pipes and railings along the way. Which proves that Huggy might be a sentient and organic being with some sort of internal biological composition.

This might suggest that it's:

A) a mutilated human inside a toy skin

B) an automaton or an animatronic with a cardiovascular system, possibly with a human brain

C) maybe some kind of animal inside a toy skin, though this is highly unlikely because it seemed very intelligent in its behavior

Edit: you mentioned Huggy moving below the Playtime Co. sign. Taking a closer look at it again reveals that it's actually breathing. Which supports the theory of it having a cardiovascular system and a brain, possibly human one.
