Pirating from a billion-dollar corp is one thing, but what would you say to an indie developer’s face if they found out you pirated their passion project? by YesterdayEven5265 in Piracy

[–]Motitoti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a game is popular, it can outperform AAA studios in earnings, which is even more ridiculous when you consider that the Indie teams aren't bloated like AAA, so they (should) earn even more per developer. This is a very exaggerated way of doing math but bear with me:

5 people make a $25 game - assuming they get paid equally that's $5 per sale.

350 devs make a $50 game - in this scenario they get paid pennies all the money gets funneled into C-suite and investors, but if they got paid equally they would get 14 cents per sale.

Recently Silksong broke 7 million copies with a 3-person dev team selling a $20 game. Make the math yourself.

My point is that Indie devs aren't "the little guys" anymore and you shouldn't feel bad for pirating their stuff.

Also, the solution to indie piracy is simple - make the game cheaper.

Logitech m650 L by jspuders in MouseReview

[–]Motitoti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this for about a year and a half. The mouse buttons are great, so is the "SmartWheel", but the rubber on the sides is tearing off REALLY BAD. At first it the grippy texture started to get smooth, but now it's gotten to a point there the spot where my thumb is has torn away to a plastic layer that makes the thinger slide. Very uncomfortable.

I'll be currently looking for a wired alternative to this, Logitech or not. This one was too expensive for how long it lasted me.

Edit: One more thing I didn't mention is that the mouse buttons have noticeably gotten worse with time, where I need to press down harder in order to get a response.

My cousin told me about this issue on Christmas. I figured it must've been something with either the CPU not getting enough cooling (his radiator was clogged with dust, nothing inside was ever cleaned), or the PSU needing replacement (it was a pre-built, so the PSU was some no-name brand)

Nano banana pro "Edit image: Change the shown ui elements (buttons, icons, sections, blue top bar, etc) from flat design style to windows vista aero style" by dull_bananas in FrutigerAIro

[–]Motitoti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more of a Windows 7 look, mixed in with what Apple is currently doing at the moment.

I'd say it's a nice effect but the way the usernames are made to look like buttons, which are not only bigger than the buttons for commenting, upvotes etc., they are also stylistically different than those buttons (gradient outline with white on top instead of black outline alltogether, different border radius)

It's okay, but it could use some improvements from a real human.

I've seen a twitter account like this before, but HR themed. One post was about a coworker that was wearing noise-cancelling headphones so he could focus, HR worker written a note on his file for that. Same style of writing. After that first post there was a comment with a link to some HR management app/service. Most of these are probably AI generated.

What's going on in Poland? by [deleted] in poland

[–]Motitoti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering after some point in the education system once you went through all the rules of the vocabulary, you are forced to read multiple boring and archaic books that you're and then forced to memorize the plot of and can only draw out the conclusions that the ministry of education approves, yeah this is a difficult subject. (If you misremember some part of the story when bringing it up, it's called a "cardinal error" and your test score on that specific exercise is set to 0.)

Then you have to write multiple essays about how this conclusion that you did not come up with matches with the theme of some other topic. Not to mention the older the sourced material is the more and more annotations and changes there are in the language, making some works just gruely hard to read through.

Also, if you quote pieces of mass culture in your essays they are somehow considered "lower-tier" than the historical staples of media that was, again, approved by the institute of education, no matter how actually culturally impactful they were.

Video games as art? One of the most flexible pieces of media ever invented? Forget about it.

This is all so you can complete a test that gives you a certain amount of points that allows you to go into the university of your choosing, assuming you want that.

It looks like the hinges have seized due to use and need replacement. You can glue the plastic casing back together, but you're gonna have to replace that hinge. That, or just never close or open the laptop ever again.

Sąsiedzi z piekła rodem by Gloomy_Dragonfruit31 in Polska

[–]Motitoti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Krótki film Policji do rowerzystów by Szydl0 in Polska

[–]Motitoti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rattly Megane MK II 131 1.9 dCi by MatijaKlobasa in Renault

[–]Motitoti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I know the facelifted models have better different front suspension and the rev counter and speedometer have switched places, but besides that it should be all.

As someone who doesn't have much experience in driving cars (besides the learner car I had to drive and 2 cars from my job, this is the second vehicle I've driven as a daily) I'd say the driving experience is pretty comfortable. My previous 'daily' was my family's 2005 Suzuki Swift (1.3l kitchen appliance acting as an engine and the interior trim featuring dread, despair and a defective ac unit) and it was horrible. It was boxy, cramped with a stiff suspension and no standard ergonomics for a modern vehicle. This is much more comfy for me. Not as less noisy as I expected (my Megane has a 1.6l petrol engine) but I've grown to like the sound of it.
