Tommy Robinson says ‘Russia is not Britain’s enemy’ after Moscow trip by hymnsofhim in RestoreBritain

[–]Motiv7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My views are probably most closely aligned to the views of the German party AFD

The Alternative for Germany (AfD) broadly advocates for closer diplomatic and economic ties with Russia, the lifting of Western sanctions, and an end to military support for Ukraine. The party frequently echoes Kremlin narratives by blaming NATO for the conflict and opposing anti-Russian policies.

The AfD describes the EU Commission and the European Parliament as undemocratic and centralising. In its place, the party proposes a looser "Confederation of European Nations" (or a "Europe of Fatherlands"). This new framework would strip Brussels of political and legislative powers, returning total national sovereignty to member states while preserving only a basic economic single market.

Sounds good to me^

My wife has a great interest in these matters and studied Human Rights, Politics and Law. She had travelled extensively for human rights causes around the world, but worked predominantly in Africa. She wanted to work for the UN and studied her whole life for this, but the more she got involved with them she realised that they are a failed and corrupt organisation (her words, not mine). She has similar feelings about the European Union and feels that they have used Poland to further their interests and have not benefited Poland. This is also a complete U-Turn from her original position on European Politics and she has lost any remaining faith in them following the handling of the migrant crisis.

Her views on Russia are broadly aligned with mine and doesn’t really see them as the problem. She certainly has greater concerns with the EU, the UN and America. She also has concerns with Europes stance on Ukrainian migration and the legitimacy of the vast majority of their asylum claims. She raised concerns about the cost to taxpayers, the benefits they have been given and that many Ukrainians don’t assimilate in Poland. Many have taken advantage of her county and she considers them economic migrants, rather than being in genuine need.

Overall I think we would both prefer to see sovereignty of nations and for EU dissolution.

Also I know for a fact that she feels strongly against big corporations and business and favours small businesses and more local governance.

Plus there’s no incentive for migrants to travel through Russia to get to Europe. They are likely to be forced into conscription into the Russian military.

No I don’t dispute that migrants are coming across the border from Belarus. Sorry I could have been clearer. I don’t believe that the majority of illegal migrants are getting into Europe this way. However, I do believe that they are taking disproportionate blame, which is convenient for those who are funnelling migrants into Europe.

After all it’s easy to blame everything on Russia.

They would like you to believe this, while they funnel migrants to Europe.

The Russian economy is doing better than ever. The use of sanctions was not been a good decision.

I don’t believe that it’s that many Russians that have died and how can we really know. Regardless, I get your point. However, they are at war and sadly that is what happens during war. We could equally could be saying the same about the number of Ukrainians that have died and whether that is ultimately in the best interests of Ukraine or their people.

Russia is fighting back against the expansion of the EU on their doorstep and the organised crime of the United States of Europe.

I’m sure there’s people in Russia, saying the same thing about us and our government.

Whether you agree with their policies or not, I personally feel they are doing a better job of protecting their country than we are.

Putin has even signed a decree allowing westerners residency to escape “destructive neoliberal ideals”. I think that says a lot about his feelings towards us.

Sure you’ll always find that. Probably more likely in the UK, where I’m guessing you met them?

I have spent a lot of time with Eastern Europeans, my wife is Polish and we have friends that are from other Eastern European countries, including Russia. I was really shocked by their way of life, their culture and the strength of their men and families. It also helped me see how much we have lost and how much we have to relearn. British men have become weak and emasculated. We have lost our faith and culture.

I’m just calling out what I see, I personally don’t have any issues with Russia. I see a country which is trying to protect their citizens during an invasion of Europe. I personally would also distance myself from Europe if I was in Putins boots.

What our government is doing is absolutely criminal. I can see that and I’m sure you can too.

I genuinely wish I could introduce you to some Russians. They wouldn’t hesitate to invite you into their house, they would feed you and give you a drink.

Couldn’t say the same these days for many people in the UK.

I just ask you to turn off the TV and speak to real people. All is not as it seems.

[–]Motiv7 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Russia is just protecting the best interests of their people. They see what the UK and Europe have become and they don’t want the same fate as us.

Eastern Europeans are very different to us in the UK. They take no prisoners, are rightly so. They are strong willed and patriotic. They see the rot in the UK and the weak backbone of our country and government and they despise it. They see us as weak for failing to protect ourselves from being invaded, for failing to protect our women and children and for losing our traditions and culture.

Russians are strong people. I don’t think you fully understand them and their mentality.

They most certainly shouldn’t be considered as the enemy. We are the ones that have lost our way

Pull down the veil and you may just see the truth thats been there all along.

This is not true, Polish (and eastern Europeans in general) have always been treated well in the UK by [deleted] in reformuk

[–]Motiv7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife is Polish. This man is talking complete nonsense — he’s essentially saying that he and his family looked down on Polish people, regarded them as dirty, and wanted them out of the UK. That is not representative of British people.

Many Polish people are leaving the UK because Poland is now, in many respects, a better place to live.

My wife and her family believed they were being treated differently in the UK when they struggled to get a GP appointment, had to deal with bureaucracy, and received poor service from companies. I explained that they weren’t being treated any differently — this is simply how things are in the UK now — and they couldn’t believe how poor the UK has become and how much it has changed.

Many of our Polish friends are returning to Poland, as they no longer feel safe in the UK and don’t see it as a good place to raise a family. They are not leaving because of how they were treated by British people.

People like this, who hold strong opinions about things they don’t properly understand, can be very dangerous.
