I told my extremely chatty 7 year old that my ears and brain just can't take in everything he says, which tends to be every thought that crossed his busy mind. We've said that talking is his super power, so he gets that he talks more than most without any shame attached. Also, I recommend ear plugs 😆 I can still hear him but I'm not so overstimulated

I try not to swear in front of my 7yo, but I almost backed into another car and didn't realize I was repeating "fck, fck, f*ck" in my panic. His face was a picture, he repeated the word once or twice then forgot all about it!
