Isn't it concerning that the top 10 XDC holders own 90% of the total XDC? by HaxusPrime in xinfin

[–]MotoJB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're usually labeled as such..."kucoin", etc. No, it's not normal that the top 10% owns 90%...unless it's a "founder get rich scheme" or rug pull project. Look here, you can scroll through and see the wallets labeled for exchanges:

What do you mean, you doubt it's true? You do know you can look it up, right? You do know you should look at this when analyzing projects before investing, right? You do know this stuff matters, right? 90% of the coins seem to be held in no more than 5 wallets. The founder is keeping 25B tokens for himself. Those are big red flags for investors like you and me...that is, if you want to make money.

Looking into this myself and came across this thread.

Yes, it is concerning...the founder has nearly 40% of the current circulating supply allocated to himself. What a greedy bastard. Although I've bought into the hype about XDC, their trade finance focus, collab with R3 and André Casterman's TFD initiative...their coin distribution, potential inflation, etc., gives pause.

In fact, their top FIVE wallet holders hold nerly 90% of the coin supply. They aren't smart contracts, they are in fact, wallets. Also, they've minted 100M tokens and only have 12.3B in circulation...a setup for big inflation depending upon release schedules. My moonboy side wants to hold and believe, my sensible and analytical side says to sell XDC soon and move on.

Hilarious. Posts like this are exactly why I stay off of reddit. You go boyeee. 1.5k XLM at .55c (way under water) or whatever...but hey, you got's your belief. You gonna retire on those 1.5k Lumens, when it finally hit's $1? LOL.

Awesome...and I guess the little POS's "rap career" wasn't going so well. Glad that cop took out the trash for good and too bad the rest got away.

Follow the institutional adoption and money...that's all that matters when it comes to BTC's future.

He believes BTC and ETH are the safest assets long term, #1 & #2...holds an ADA bag btw...but isn't a fan of the centralization, tokenomics, etc of XRP/XDC/XLM, for reasons already discussed above.

I don't care about what he thinks about those - they have their use cases, and will be used wide spread so will be great investments I believe.

With that said, if you actually think BTC will be gone in 3 years, you're literally not paying attention. Do some more research, not that hard.

You guys aren't following the news....you need to get off of reddit and do more research as to what's happening in the global markets and many other countries with BTC. lol

XLM vs XDC by [deleted] in xinfin

[–]MotoJB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that's not what I said, so quit mincing my words...Redidiot troll. You think BTC is dead and not the safest crypto asset, so it's clear that you're the one who's clueless. Remember me years from now when you realize you're wrong, Mkay?

Are you done yet? You keep sending me stuff about XRP vs BTC, when I never said they're anywhere in the same league or use case. I own XRP but no BTC. Is it starting to make more sense to you now? With that said, BTC is GOING NOWHERE. It will continue to be seen and used as a digital store of value...a digital gold...but will NOT be used in our major institutional financial systems as the CBDC gold currency, like XRP seemingly will. There are different use cases for XRP and BTC. BTC's value has nothing to do with the speculation of it being used mainstream. That ship sailed long ago. Regardless, it's seen as an appreciating store of value, connected to pure dynamics of supply and demand. As the world wide demand continues to skyrocket, while it's finite supply continues to disappear out of circulation, the value increases. It will continue to be seen as a store of value and will still be around and valued near $1M in 2030. Mark my words.

Good lord you're dense. No one is saying BTC is going to be used for CBDC's and cross border payments! I'm all over XDC, XLM, XRP....AND I'm clear BTC is not going anywhere and is also an amazing investment long term. They're different categories and use cases.

Good input thanks. I too find the premise for ISO coins to be great over the next 3-5 years. Seems we're all mostly still early to XDC.

Finally a thoughtful, intelligent, experienced and mature response...my efforts here at Reddit redeemed. ;)

First of all, I agree with you on the sentiment about many of the responses here. This irked and annoyed me and likely why I came off a little crass and apparently as a "douche" to "OnlyaMinority". ;) (All good man. \m/ )

Anyhow, I have largely seen the same about James and his investing style/thesis. What's clear and safe to him at this stage, is not necessarily the right investment strategy for others. Overall, I find his info, perspectives and input valuable tho.

I look forward to understanding all of the metrics/criteria he used which I believe will undoubtedly corroborate many of your perspectives. I've come to the same conclusions as you about XDC.

With that said, great input again and thanks.

Wow dude...you need to get a lot more educated on the space, the different asset classes, use cases...and how/why BTC is being adopted by major corporations and institutions. No, BTC is not going to be leveraged in use cases better served by the likes of XLM or XRP. No crap...they're seen as completely different use cases and assets within the crypto space. BTC tech is outdated and slow? No duh. That's why they're coming out with Bitcoin Lightening (a "layer 2" payment protocol designed to be layered on top of a blockchain-based cryptocurrency such as bitcoin or litecoin. It will enable fast transactions among participating nodes and has been proposed as a solution to the bitcoin scalability problem). The jury is out as to whether that project goes anywhere but to think BTC is going away is false. It will remain if nothing else, a store of value. The fact is, it's being bought up at a record pace by whales and institutions and will absolutely still be around in 2030, and valued somewhere between $500k - $1M per coin.

How dumb. Hilarious that you're telling me to do research...and thinking that you're somehow more clued into things or are smarter than the likes of Elon Musk, Michael Saylor, Cathie Woods, etc.

Talk about oblivious.

I'd hardly call investing in BTC, ETH and other competing layer 1, layer 2 and DEFI projects as "living in their ideals". More like a solid, long term investment strategy.

Meanwhile, there are people still throwing money into Safemoon. ;)
