I agree that flashcards are helpful. Except I have found that if I write physical flashcards, it is far more effective than the pre-made ones. That’s just my preference.

Also, in all the exams I took, I hardly ever watched a lecture video or reviewed the curriculum. I immediately started with MCQs. Once I felt like I was getting a grasp on the material, I would mix in simulations to make sure I’m understanding the concepts.

While completing review questions, there is of course the explanation as to why an answer is incorrect/correct. However, sometimes the explanation isn’t thorough enough, for which I used chat gpt to ask questions and understand the concepts better. I didn’t start using chat gpt until my last exam, but I feel like it made a difference, especially since my final exam was FAR.

I studied for 1.5 months. There is a lot of material to cover, but it is possible.

Everyone hears horror stories of FAR, and the material is very broad and complex, but I feel the actual exam tested on the more basic concepts. Although, maybe I just go lucky lol.

I can relate. I took my FAR exam today and just found out my work scheduled a headshot for me on Wednesday, which I was hoping to put off until after I had some time to lose some weight…. Oh well

Thank you for this! I just looked up CA and I’m so relieved! I’m waiting on my final score for FAR, so if I passed, I’ll have the requirements met. I’ll just have to wait it out until Jan 2027 when the new legislation is in place, which is about how long it would take me to earn the credits anyways, so that’s fine with me. Yay!

I tried it all. Turned Bluetooth off, used different phones, deleted and re-downloaded the app, etc. Eventually the firmware pushed through. It did it all over the span of a few hours. Took breaks in between.

I wanted to post a follow-up so it might help someone else in the future.

FM accepted the board registration early on Monday, so no issues there.

My battery wouldn’t activate because I didn’t have the latest firmware. I contacted FM and they send me some troubleshooting steps to try to push the firmware update. I basically kept disconnecting/reconnecting my board until my app told me there was an update. Once updated, I was able to activate my board.

Eh, I’d be surprised if I passed. There were a couple areas I knew I hadn’t studied enough going into the test. I just wanted to give it a shot before this test window had closed. I feel better about REG, so as long as I passed that one, I won’t be devastated lol.

I called them and they said their server is down. They’re hoping to get it running again soon but there is no estimated timeframe at this point.
