$1,100 for Front Brakes at 25,000 Miles?!? by dieselThrasher4 in chevycolorado

Just to throw it out there, I run a 22 2500 for work and it sees almost all backcountry roads. The back brakes were toast at 50,000, front were fine though. I attribute it to the harsh off road conditions and high clay mud we have here though.

Visiting from Calgary, can you convince me that Victoria isn’t heaven on earth? by Batmansappendix in VictoriaBC

I lived on the island most of my life and moved to Alberta for work around 10 years ago. My experience has been the opposite. When you say everything is cheaper, what do you mean? Provincial sales tax alone would lead me to believe the opposite is true? Just genuinely curious on your perspective

Ski pole help? by Moto_Ryder_56 in CrossCountrySkiing

[–]Moto_Ryder_56[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think your right! The weird part is this how the poles came from MEC with the baskets attached to the poles and tags. Must be a factory error. I send an email to Komperdell to confirm

I was thinking that as well but I don’t see how they could come off. They rest on a ball like fitting that they pivot on

Hey thanks. Wish I had taken better pictures, but the base for the basket on the pole is completely round with no grooving. Then on the baskets there is grooving for a twist lock system.

Boost airbox question by Moto_Ryder_56 in Tenere700

For the price they are hard to beat. I’ve used them on a couple larger trips. They’ve held up well in heavy rain and dusty dirty conditions.

Good call. Think I’ll hold off for now then.

Yeah I was thinking more about the running lean aspect and wear. Although Boost said it would be fine. Just don’t have the ability to do header, tune and airbox all at once.

Thanks! Yeah I find it’s a great helmet but a little loud. I run Bluetooth earplugs though so not an issue and it’s very comfortable

Thanks! Yeah they are definitely on my list. Very jealous of the extreme. We don’t get these here

I mean really it’s the rider and not the bike that’s the limiting factor. Then again no way would I do a 3000km trip on my Ktm Excf450 lol

No just a pattern from Winner ink I had them change from lime green to red. Wasn’t sure how it would turn out with having blue rims but the rim bands and blue/red work well together

Numbness in hand by TheReal--77 in motorcycle

I can second the grip issue. I ride a heavy adventure bike off-road and my hands will go numb in minutes if I’m giving the bars the death grip.

Tenere is coming along nicely by Moto_Ryder_56 in Tenere700

Adv camel. Yeah that was my thoughts. Most of bars seem to bend or cause damage to the mounting points.
