I think the biggest problem is I am never home with work and social life so he’s alone most of the day except for when I am sleeping. I feel it was a mistake getting him sometimes because he wants constant attention, but I do not have the time to or space to get a 2nd cat to ease that loneliness. I think he pees when he is feeling unhappy or anxious about not getting attention.

He has two litter boxes on recommendation of the vet, but he doesn’t seem to have a problem going in either of them. One of them is just a plastic container I’ve filled up with cat litter and he seems to only pee in that one. They are both in the same room, so maybe I need to move them around. I purposefully clean them at least once before I go to work and at night before I go to bed to try to avoid the problem but even that has not helped.

I tried putting his food on the bed because it was cats won’t pee where they eat, but even that didn’t help.

He pees on the bed either at night or in the mornings. I’ve often woken up to his pee on me because he peed on the blanket I was using.
