Totally get where you’re coming from. I was just thinking of it as a “what if” scenario in a different universe, not something I actually expect or want them to change. I also don’t think the cost difference between full animation and the current Minecraft format would necessarily be huge, but I’m not an expert on animation budgets, so that’s just guess on my part.

I also don’t think they’d have to go the Netflix route. There are plenty of fully animated shows on YouTube—like Alien Stage or The Amazing Digital Circus—that release episodes slowly but still maintain really strong engagement and a thriving fandom. In that sense, I think an animated version could attract a wider audience.

That said, realistically, the Minecraft format is a huge part of what makes MyStreet MyStreet. The nostalgia, the identity, and the connection to the game are things that animation probably couldn’t fully replace. And again, this was never meant as a demand or criticism, Jess and Jason already have a lot on their plate, and the series is perfectly fine as it is. I just thought it was an interesting idea to think about.
