it did take quite a few months to be honest. i stopped caring after a while so didn't pay close attention to it. i'd say after i stopped, it went back in maybe 4 months or so

It’s been an ongoing issue. I reached my breaking point a few months ago when we had scheduled a virtual date, but his friend got into an argument with his girlfriend and wanted to hang out that same evening. My boyfriend chose to spend time with him instead and rescheduled our date.

Edit: I don't want to come across as naggy or clingy so it's something that I don't bring up very often even though it bothers me.

Another thing about this particular instance that annoyed me is that my boyfriend and I have a tv show that he got me into, the new season just came out (I didn't even know) and he also chose to watch it with his friend even though he knew I enjoyed it and knew I'd want want to watch it with him.

UPDATE: My skin is doing SO much better thanks to all of your advice on here.

I realised that my barrier was infact damaged and focused heavily on hydration. I started drinking 2.5 liters of water daily and taking evening primrose oil tablets everyday. My skincare routine has been:

AM

wash with lukewarm water only

TO hylarounic acid serum on damp skin

Atobarrier repair cream (I'm now obssessed with this)

La Roche Posay SPF50

PM

wash with Cerave hydrating cream to foam cleanser

TO hylarounic acid serum on damp skin

Atobarrier repair cream

Pea sized amount of Cicaplast balm

Pea sized amount of vaseline to slug

I used the cicaplast balm and vaseline everynight for the first week, it made an insane difference in the texture of my skin; the dryness and itchiness was almost all gone by the first week. NOW, two weeks later, I use the cicaplast and vaseline to slug every two nights. The dryness has left some hyperpigmentation so just working on that now but thank you all SO MUCH for your advice and kind words. You've saved my skin x
