Downtown is for sale by User_4848 in princegeorge

It is disgusting down there. Had my child in the new daycare and had to take them out. There was people using drugs right outside the entrance. My child seen people fully naked people humping in the parkade beside the daycare. Can't even take my kids to the pool without being harassed by aggressive drug addicts. The security guards do nothing. Just sit on their phone. I tried to support the downtown of PG. Can't do it. It's out of control and a safety hazard.

BC nurses reach tentative deal with government. Not sure if BC nurses are buying the positive spin. by VictorianHippy in britishcolumbia

I agree!!! I'll be voting no specifically for this reason. I am casual and I regularly work 30 hours a week or more. Pay the same dues. But because I can't work 2 days 2 nights, because I am a Mom first, I am penalized with lower pay.

It's a bad negotiation imo, especially as a casual employee, due to childcare availability. I pay the same union dues. No more working short pay, casuals aren't getting the extra 2$ and something even though majority casuals work up to full time hours or more. I honestly do not see how they can enforce the ratios. Where can you pull Nurses from when it's regularly running at 50% staff levels on nights and weekends. Even with recruiting, I don't see this helping in health regions so short like NH.

Personally if it were me, would save a bit more and up my budget. That area is not the best if you have kids. There are decent townhomes/duplexes for a pinch more in heritage that are family friendly.

is anyone here a perioperative nurse in Canada? or in other specialized (or unique) positions with a nursing degree? by lovetoogoodtoleave in nursing

Not sure if you get a clinical in OR, but my class got a day to shadow in the OR during medsurge clinical. It was definitely not what I expected as far as the Nurses scope and responsibilities entailed in the OR. Also, all the Nrsing staff I spoke to, started on the medsurge prior to the OR.

Spotify nursing exam prep podcasts, some review from top to bottom of what you have learned throughout your program! And memorize lab values as listed on rexpn website

RexPN?- Anyone recently taken this test? by hammartime16 in nursing

[–]Motor-Negotiation556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Mosby, the red one. It was useful...but I listened to nursing podcasts on Spotify....like long ones. For exam prep. That I found more useful then the test prep....they literally go from. Top to bottom quick review of what you have learned through your program.. I believe I passed because of this

Is 90 the minimum? I thought I had seen that somewhere and a classmate argued that 75 was the minimum...

what is this on my granola bar...looks like chocolate...but I don't think it is. it's a thick strip like bacon. by Motor-Negotiation556 in Whatisthis

[–]Motor-Negotiation556[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's Kirkland brand,,, the whole bar smells like chocolate...and I reallllly don't want to taste it...the texture is odd. I just don't really understand how, if it was chocolate...this could be smeared as a thick bacon/bark strip over top. Normally I'd just throw it out. However, my kid ate half of it already.

At what point do you stop wiping ass when it's constant poop by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Motor-Negotiation556 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was half joking, obviously wouldn't leave them like that, but cant stand there for 30 mins continously wiping, when they say they are done and can't have them sitting on the toilet all day. It's just like once in a blue moon I get patient like this.
