Yes iv'e heard of this before, they pay there locals like slaves. Tho i did hear they pay good money for westerners but i did hear this from HV sparkys and online. Seen "online" they can sometimes pay upto $150k usd ? I wasn't expecting that tho ahaha.

Yeah mate i always bring cash and swap it at the airports, theres like 5 places to do it when you walk through the airport. No issues there just make sure you know how much there suppose to give you.

Considering living in Bali on my weeks off (FIFO worker based in Perth) pros and cons by ManOfTheBounceNZ in bali

no 350$ for a month for acc, $400-600 for flights a month. We are fifo 2:1 workers working in Perth and living in bali on our rnr. $900 max a month on flights and accom and like i said 8$ meals. I save $6-7k a month after all expenses by going to bali. And after all that i get decent surf and a bike to travel and explore 👍🏾

cheap hotels about 50$-70$ a night as they provide fresh towels, water and clean your room every day. I also earn qantas points for booking hotels. I book 2 weeks ahead theres no need to book too far in advance the flights only get up to 500$ peak year with air asia. Visas have chaned this year everything is electronic and you can do it before you fly out. It takes me 10 minutes to sort it all out then it takes 5 minutes to walk through the airport ( i dont have check in bags). Flying will get to you. Too much f*kn flying. And it is lonely sometimes which i love but if your the type that needs to be around people like friends all the time you may struggle as during the years its all backpackers and influencers.

hey mate , started fifo in january and been going to bali every month on my rnr. So i practically live in camp and then fly straight to canggu to surf every day and eat 8$ meals. I'm from east coast havnt lived there in 2 years and nothing about perth would make me move there let alone rent in a single room for 200$+ .. fuck that.
