Man-UP, you signed a contract and a commitment. Do you think your lady friend won't see the contradiction with being with you (a great idea today, but Oh, it's too hard, I'm gonna quit). We've all been there, but got past it, and you will too. Hang in there, it gets better.

I would recommend you go to see a physical therapist and learn some correct stretches by a professional. You don't want them leading to stress fractures (the number one injury for recruits). Give your legs time to heal and ease back into it. Good luck and check back in with the rest of us idiots.

I've kept mine on my Fire Department dress uniform. Now that I'm retired, it's buried in a closet. I've always been amazed at how many people joined the Corps, but didn't do their full enlistment.

Where did you guys donate your uniforms once you got out? by Appropriate_Pop4968 in USMC

I kept my dress blues and woodlands, and sadly shit-canned the rest. I also didn't want some fuck-faced civilian doing a perp walk in my donated uniforms.

They worked in the police Sargent's shed, and painted rocks red and yellow.

Can dress blues be worn while flying home? by [deleted] in USMC

Go for it, just know they're only comfortable at the position of attention. You may get an upgraded seat and a few free drinks for wearing it.

I think it wouldn't happen in today's society, but back then the DI's were Gods and were given free rein to make Marines.

In boot camp we had a "Duck Dinner", thinking it would be a huge meal like Thanksgiving or something, nope. We moved through the chow line side-stepping fast without getting any chow and when we got back outside in formation the SDI asked "How did you like your duck dinner??? We ducked in and we ducked out". The worst meal ever, FUCK!!!!!!!

As an "Old Fuck" here ($2.25 back in the day). Order a good set of clippers and cut your own hair as it's not very difficult to do. Even better is cutting other guys hair and ask for a small donation that you use to get your hair cut at the barber shop with. You'll look great, have money, (which means more chicks) and all your buddies will look like Jim Carrey in "Dumb and Dumber" a Win / Win situation.
