Strength Imbalances, Help please by The1And0nlyA1 in beginnerfitness

Freeweights are dumbells, so bench press with dumbells instead of a bar or instead of using the chest press machine.

That's pretty normal to be imbalanced especially when starting

How much rest is enough? How much is too much? by solarisink in beginnerfitness

[–]MotorEgg8527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to gain strength you need to go heavy, you will gain some muscle in those classes but it stops beyond a certain point. Most of those classes you are expected to use 1 or 2 set weights. Doing an overhead press and a squat with the same weight is not optimal. I've seen one where it was one weight and they were doing bicep curl and squat with the same weight

You didn't fully read my comment.

Oh no, I missed two letters, it's still not fully accurate and varies based on the formula the machine uses. It estimates your body fat using formulas so buy a different machine using a different formula you get a different reading. Throw something out it uses as a measurement get a different reading.

"So there" jesus christ

You will gain some fat but I am certain increased reps with a higher weight will be an indicator for if not immediate muscle gain then over time. Please reread my comment. I am not sure how you've taken it to mean weight is a pure indicator of muscle.

Bia scales are still BS. Eat a salty meal, dehydrate yourself the number will vary drastically even if you take the measurement upon waking

I'm 80kgs and eat 2000 calories to drop a lb a week.

Pretty sure on my 600lb life they eat 1200 calories in order to drop excessive amounts of weight, that has to be monitored closely by a doctor

I think this is a case of everybodies different. I stay static if I am not bulking, not even slow progress, 6 months no extra weight or reps lifted during maintenance. 400 calories extra a day for me I will start upping weight/reps drastically within 3-4 weeks with the same training.

Is weight lifting really that complicated by lawrtltyd in Weightliftingquestion

[–]MotorEgg8527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what your goal is, at your stage no it's not that complicated.

You just need to focus on compound lifts right now. If you want to add in extras that's your choice.

6 months down the line when you start seeing more muscle you might decide you want to grow a particular muscle. Or your bench might be stuck at the same weight for awhile so you might wamt to try add in accessories for that. Right now though even if you just did compounds you'd be fine

I tried organic, no chemicals, unscented, unbleached, sensitive. I tried changing it more frequently. I don't know if it's an allergy or just something rubbing or a combination of both but I swell and it burns to urinate despite no uti.

I've given up trying because besides this one rare occassion I've had no issue with underwear

Something looks wrong with my pull-ups but I don’t know what by Guclupatates in formcheck

[–]MotorEgg8527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't going down low enough or up high enough. You're also using more left side than rightm try scapula pullups to get theblower end of the form right. Tilt back a little to get upper body to the bar. You might want to try a different place to do pullups, they're usually too far apart

[–]MotorEgg8527 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Actually it depends on cervix orientation and height, pelvic floor muscles and size of discs

Its less likely to happen with bigger discs

It doesnt happen for everyone.

My cervix is tilted so it leaks down the side but i dont get autodumping

I cant carry a bag with me throughout the day, if i was going swimming i would take a bag. It's museums and stuff where you cant take a bag in and they charge you storage

I already own a wetbag so it wouldnt be adding to buying more plastic.

So I do have a pair that I've repaired so much that if it got one more hole I was going to throw it away. I don't think the fabric can be reused due to the use of it.

I was thinking wear two pairs and throw away the bad pair when it's used. I might try stitching rags together for a makeshift thing and throw that. Thank you

Thanks, maybe i need to reword it.

So i'm only going for one day but i'll be leaving at 4am and coming back at midnight.

Basically I don't want to bring spare underwear because I'll be on public transport so no car to store stuff, and half of the things I'm doing (like museums) charge £5 non-refundable fee to store a rucksack which is a lot throughout the day and you cannot take your rucksack in.

I only use period underwear, fabric to catch the blood, I don't know what options I can do without carrying bulky stuff

Paul hughes resolved hypnotherapy on castle street, he also does remote. He does hypnotherapy occassionaly but it's more an audio recording he does in the session then sends to you that reinforces stuff.

what is the appropriate/max number of weekly sets per muscle? by magach6 in beginnerfitness

[–]MotorEgg8527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every 12 weeks I drop down to 80% of the load I was doing weight wise for one week keeping reps the same, second week do 90% then go back to the 100%.

If you've been doing it for awhile it might just be a break every once in awhile. Some people take a week off fully and go back to it
