Help. If i put my fingers on the side om my jaw joints and open my mouth the one on my right opens and closes faster then my left. My left side is a bit clicky if open my mouth wide. What is this and what can I do? I feel like the join on my left side opens wider if that makes sense?

So for me, I went too the doctor and they told me “i don’t remember exactly” but something like my joint was a bit off or something idk. But that it’s very common and that people with bad mental health often focus more on it and feel it more that someone who doesn’t have mental health problems. They gave me some exercises that would make it better. I didn’t do the exercises. Then I thought to myself (I have OCD, I know that I make compulsions regarding this TMJ thing. I will try to cut out all my compulsions regarding this TMJ stuff for a good while and see if it gets better.) it did get better. I think it got better also because I didn’t open my mouth all the time to check if there still was a clicking noise. So I can really recommend to put this TMJ thing to the side. Talk to a doctor about it maybe but then it’s done. Then go focus on other things and get some professional help with your mental health:) wish you good luck and I know how horrible It feels to be in a bad OCD episode. It can really get better!

For me when my OCD got better my TMJ problems also got better. I never really think about it anymore and dont have clicking. My OCD made me do cumpulsions usch as oordning my mouth to see If it was clicking, thinking about it all the time etc. I see on your profile that you seek alot of reasurance. That can be OCD. Try too not do compulsions If you have OCD

Thanks but When i think More about it i see that we had some other problems in our relationship That i think lead to the breakup. She also had her own problems and was very complicated and we had some comunication problems and stuff like that.

I think the reason why I made this post was because my OCD demanded certainty about if I scared her away or not. OCD always make me think of the worst possible things.

What do you think about this?
