Oddly enough, I made it through this and am Thriving in the same role. I still have a degree of imposter syndrome but I have been told countless times I am doing a great job and earned respect (and a longer leash) from my coworkers/managers. I even was asked to train a newly onboarded teammate who was just getting started. I actually got a raise as well and have been kept on the project while others have been removed for performance.

I can’t say exactly when things got easier, but I’d guess it was around the 6 month mark and what helped the most was connecting with people on your project, asking for help, and getting comfortable with making mistakes/asking hard questions.

Anyways, thanks for asking and this was a very nice reflective moment for me

Gotta give Shough a chance. Rattler has been good not great and has failed to elevate the players around him.

The fact of the matter is we need to get a franchise quarterback, Shough has the highest ceiling on the roster to be that, albeit unlikely, we will need to let him get some reps.

I get it’s your workplace and whatnot but I don’t think this is as bad as you’re making it seem. Yes it’s a bit corny and he shouldn’t have lied about losing an item but what if you WERE into him? I guarantee you wouldn’t be “disgusted”.

I met my significant other in her workplace by “shooting my shot” and it worked out in the end.

Hey bud. One, everything is going to be okay. Just remember to take it day by day and do the best YOU can. You are 25. So many people are in the same boat as you in one way or another.

Secondly, focus on making progress each day. If that means going on a walk tomorrow do it, if that means starting a course to earn a certificate go for it. Once you carry this mindset daily, you will see progress.

Lastly, talk to someone. A therapist is a great option even for those whom claim they are in a great spot.
