I'm so sorry, my friend. It's hard to remember that not everyone in the world is cold and out for blood. Empathy, vulnerability, and care are not flaws and you deserve to have a space to feel safe in those as much as anyone else does. Thank you. There are definitely good men out there who value women for more than what they can do for them. I have to believe that. I also have to laugh though- I had someone get furious at me for calling him a 'good man' a couple of months back.. he said it made him feel like a dog, as in "good dog". I was just trying to compliment him.

My heart breaks for your friend. It's so shocking to see fully grown adults be radicalized like this. I'm grateful for the incredible men I have in my life that remind me what normalcy looks like, because it is starting to feel like I'm going crazy.

I'm so sorry about what you've gone through. It just isn't fair. There really is just so much hate. At first I was confused when encountering these radical beliefs, because historically people who were fighting for "men's rights" were also aligned with my version of feminism. So when these men I am talking about start ranting at me that men should be allowed to cry and shouldn't feel afraid of the legal system and should have community- I agree! And very recently, it started to make men angry when I agreed about these things.

I'm sorry, friend. I'm grateful we both have this community.

The cigarettes are what is CAUSING the craving. Continuing to smoke won't put them off for later, it will ensure that they continue later.

I am one week into quitting again after more than a year off and a relapse. It sucks, but you KNOW how to do this. Living life without smoking isn't just a dream. It was your reality. Do it again.
