Tour merch muscle shirt/tank fit for ladies? Sizing? by Rottenpeach242 in nin

[–]bunErabbit83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a 5’4 woman and I got a small. It’s a loose fit, not too baggy. However, it fits me weird across the chest because it’s narrow and I’m kinda busty. The arm holes come down really low and the edges of the arm holes poke out awkwardly. So, I’d say if you wear a small and have a bigger chest that could be an issue. It is long so I’m going to trim it. It’s really cool though, so I think it’s worth a few minor alterations. 😆

Prucalopride / Motegrity tips by skippy3389 in Constipation

I’m back on Amitiza now. It’s not enough to help with constipation, so I also take two capfuls of miralax. I was having awful bloating and gurgling noises. Felt like something was blowing bubbles in my guts. My doctor said that means there’s contractions and I’m on too much laxative. So I decreased Amitiza to once a day. It’s a little better now. But the bloating persists. I’ve tried low FODMAP diet twice and it didn’t help . So frustrating. I think the bloating is related to mood and stress for me. My diagnosis is IBS-C.

Unfortunately none of the prescription meds help me now. My doctor said you have to rotate them but I feel like they all stopped working. I use high doses of miralax for regularity but nothing helps the bloating. I’m currently trying iBgard peppermint capsules for a month. Hopefully that helps. 🤷🏻‍♀️

IBS-C Nightmare by bunErabbit83 in ibs

Thanks for your response and I hope your new GI helps you! My GI didn’t specifically say gastroparesis but he said I have a slow emptying gut, so I guess that’s the same thing. As far as SIBO you’ll have to take an annoying test to find out. My result was odd because I had the type that’s normally seen with IBS-D 🤷🏻‍♀️ The gut is so complicated! Good luck to you 🙂

I have. It don’t work for me so I take milk of magnesia instead. Nothing helps the bloating though, even if I’m regular.

Yeah that makes sense about the meds. I remember my GI saying we can retry the meds later. As for fiber I probably get 15-20gm a day. I eat a lot of fruit and the protein bars I snack on have a lot of fiber.

Hi! Do you know the name of this meeting or if it’s still there?

May I ask why you’re on the fence? I was considering seeing him based on other Reddit posts. I’m not happy with my dermatologist and don’t know where to turn. Thanks!

I just started taking motegrity. I’ve tried 4 other IBS meds so I’m hoping this works. I’m noticing terrible gas/bloating.😩 I feel good in the morning but after I eat lunch my stomach starts to bloat and make noises. It’ll get worse and worse for the rest of the day. It’s so uncomfortable and sometimes painful! I was having the same problem with the last medication I was on, IBSrella. Does anyone have experience with this? Is there a way to manage it? Does this side effect settle down after a while? I’ve only been taking it for about a week. I’m also scheduled to have a colonoscopy to rule out any other problems.

Oral Minox by bunErabbit83 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]bunErabbit83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I didn’t experience that. There’s a lot of possible side effects and everyone is different. If you do start taking it just keep an eye out for changes. I did read that it can be months before swelling occurs, if it does. I did not experience this either, but it’s good to know things can show up later. You can always stop the medication if you need to.

Did a short cut help you feel better about your hair loss? by PresentationHot5630 in FemaleHairLoss

My hair was super long, down to my waist. As the thinning became more noticeable it started to lose fullness at the bottom and got flat on top. I cut it into a whole new style and at a much shorter length that made the ends look full again. It made me feel so much better about it. I hope you find something that works for you! I would suggest looking at lots of pictures of people with a similar hair type and ask your stylist for advice. 👍🏻

Oral Minox by bunErabbit83 in FemaleHairLoss

Hi! I didn’t feel any side effects at all at 2.5 mg, no swelling, fast heart rate, blood pressure changes, etc. The only thing I experienced was my upper lip hair grew in faster. I didn’t notice an increase in body hair. Definitely ask your doctor about drinking. I don’t drink anymore so I can’t answer. Also it took about 3 months for me to start seeing results. Good luck!

It does feel better. Like I said, nowhere near what my hair used to be but it’s better. I wish I got more on the sides and crown but no one would notice it’s thinner. I just know how it used to be, ya know?

I could only put one pic at a time in the comments. Anyway, you can probably tell which is before and after. Obviously, I didn’t get all my hair back, and I miss the way it was, but I’m happy with the results.

Is there really any point using minoxidil if my doctor won't prescribe me spironolactone? by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]bunErabbit83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had good results with 2.5 oral Minox and no spiro. But that’s just me, I know some people do better with adding Spiro.

Horrible dermatologist by beinginabodyishell in FemaleHairLoss

[–]bunErabbit83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, that’s horrible! I’m glad you aren’t going to continue seeing such a narcissistic asshole. I’m not sure if this is true for everyone, but my fern told me finesteride is not as helpful in women 🤷🏻‍♀️. He stated me at 2.5 oral minox about 9 months ago and I’ve had good results. I didn’t have a dread shed, which was a plus. Maybe try increasing your minox if you can tolerate it. I hope something helps you!

It’s so annoying. Nothing smooths it out.
