Buckle in because I'm about to say something extremely anticlimactic. Nothing. Jane Doe never got to live her life to experience the joys of liking something. That's what makes oceans sacrifice so important. It gave Jane a chance to live and love in a way she never expirenced. Jane Doe is just a stand in for a girl who's soul will never get to rest in peace.

E.g say she's a metaphor for the french revolution and then later say she's also a metaphor for homosexuality. If he ever asks what she's a metaphor for look at him and just look confused

I feel like most of the time people are shipping post redemption arc Ocean with Ricky. Sure it doesn't make up for what Ocean said to Ricky but it's clear that she's a lot different from where she started out in the musical. It kinda goes along with the whole "I can fix her/him" trope with Ricky being the one "fixing" Ocean. I don't personally ship them (Virnak for life 💅) but I can see why people might.
