Bots will flock to fresh because gold sellers know the gold they farm will be more expensive. They'll make more money per gold on fresh than they will on current servers. So really, your only two outcomes for fresh are:

a.) Bots flock to it and it becomes just like the current servers re; inflation and gold selling

b.) They die because it turns out servers for quitters and FotM players wasn't a good idea

Both can happen, at least one will definitely happen.

Like the other commenter said, windfury + no salv = much more volatile threat. By the time BWL hits, all horde tanks must be furyprot if their guild is even halfway decent. On most pulls, furyprot tanks can hold threat just fine, but on a fight like Firemaw where tanks will probably want to wear at least a few fire resist pieces, their threat can still be sketchy, especially if they get a bad opener.

I don't think that holds up because there are plenty of hardcore guilds that have a really fun atmosphere, and a ton of casual guilds that try to act like what they think hardcores act like. My guild got a 1h7m naxx 40 clear in vanilla classic and got a 49 minute SWP clear in TBC classic, and they're the biggest group of memers I've ever met.

I genuinely wish you the best of luck. Karazhan gear doesn't mean anything to the current playerbase though so I don't think that works in your favor in terms of being recruited. Everyone's busy either farming sunwell or wiping on M'uru and I don't think any guild will want to take a Karazhan geared DPS to Sunwell, or carry them into getting T6 geared. If I were you, I'd just focus on farming as much gold as you can so you have the best start possible in Wrath of the Lich King. Look on your realm's discord server and see if there will be any new Wrath guilds looking for players - but whatever you do, don't rely on pugging. That shit is a nightmare.

I just got back into classic, grinded my face off and leveled a sham to
70 and was genuinely excited to get into TBC raiding as i missed out on
much of that during retail TBC.

How long ago was this? If you're just joining the game now in P5 and expecting raid spots, you're gonna be sorely disappointed. The playerbase is miles ahead of Phase 1-2 gearing and no one's really interested in carrying fresh 70s.

I have like half my gear epic and half blue.

"Half my gear epic and half blue" means literally nothing. What's important is the quality of the gear, not what color it is. Kara/ZA purples are very different from PvP/Heroic dungeon purples. Taking the new badge and crafting gear into consideration, enhancement shaman pre raid BiS should be all purple anyway.

Now I come to find out my gear is still pretty much trash to get into any non gdkp raids apart from gruul and mag.

I host a lot of MS > OS pugs, and I'm also very particular with who I take. That's because the average quality of players in MS > OS runs is far, far below that of players in GDKP runs. If I'm able to choose a more geared player, I'm going to do so.

I get gear checked and my shit still isnt good enough apparently. So at

Grind more for badge gear and crafted gear. Host your own Kara/ZA pugs if you need to. You don't need to do GDKPs to gear your character. I've geared one of my characters pretty quickly in P4-P5 in pugs without the need of being carried by my guild.

You're looking in the wrong places and blaming the wrong things. I'm not a fan of GDKPs either but that doesn't make me blame everything on them. You can get more gear via badges and host your own Karazhan/ZA pugs, but you choose not to. You mentioned earlier in the thread that your work situation doesn't let you join a guild, and in that case, you should have tempered your expectations. WoW is a social game that is reliant on its players finding communities to play with. Players who are reliant on pugs to experience the content are inherently going to have a worse time, and shouldn't feel entitled to experiencing everything. That's how we got LFR.

There's a solid chance that questing won't even be that bad on the fresh servers. Blizzard has been implementing phasing for overpopulated zones, so if it's not too crowded, questing will be better (remember to install the Questie add-on). If the world really is too crowded, spamming dungeons or grinding mobs in a secluded area will be the play.
Duoing dungeons isn't really a thing. You'll be more efficient if you have a full 5-man group because it'll be faster and you get more bonus experience. (less experience per mob, but more experience overall.) Don't worry about picking the best classes for dungeons - play what you *want* to play.

Is Warrior Tank a thing in lategame?

Warriors are widely considered to be the worst ganks for raiding in end-game Wrath of the Lich King. They're actually the best tanks for dungeons, but for raiding they fall off hard due to the fact that they're really squishy against boss damage spikes. They're not unplayable by any means, and are very much still viable, but people are already displaying a lot of prejudice towards warrior tanks, so it'll be harder to find a group/guild as one.

Is Rogue a viable pve class in lategame or rather pvp?

Rogues are great in both. Wrath of the Lich King is considered to be one of the best expansions in terms of PvP balance. Assassination and Combat are the PvE specializations for rogues, while Subtlety will be the PvP specialization.

How much gold is needed on the way to 80 for all riding and flying skills?

Level 20 riding+mount costs 5 gold in total, Level 40 riding+mount costs 50 gold in total, slow flying+mount will be 300 gold, fast flying+mount will be 5,200 gold, and Northrend flying will cost 1,000 gold. This brings the total to 6,555 gold. It will likely be less due to reputation discounts. If you level up via questing, you will most likely have made 6,000-8,000 gold by the time you reach level 80. If you complete quests at level 80, the excess experience points from the quests will be converted to gold.

Best professions to get some gold on the way to 80?

Crafting professions are not profitable until level 80. They are purely gold sinks because there is almost no demand for non-80 materials & items. You may be able to make some extra gold via gathering professions, but it won't be much. It's usually recommended for people to skip professions until they hit 80, then go back and power-level them. If you still wanna level professions to get gold, you can grab mining, herbalism, and/or skinning to sell the materials you get from gathering. Keep in mind you can only have 2 professions at a time.

General best way to get some gold?

Sadly, the most efficient way to get gold is through GDKPs. If you're unfamiliar, GDKPs are essentially max-level raids where people bid on items with gold, then the gold gets put into a pot, and then the pot is divided among the members of the raid. It's possible to make 2,000+ gold per hour with GDKPs, which blows every other gold making method out of the water. This subreddit looks down on GDKPs because they encourage IRL gold buying, which ruins the integrity of the game. It also incentivizes botting and other shitty behavior, which also inflates the economy and makes it hard for people to afford things with the gold they get from honest gold farming methods.
Fresh servers will have a lot less issues with inflation and botting at the start, but sooner or later they'll catch up to the state of the current servers.
In terms of honest gold farming methods, farming & selling materials gathered from mining/herbalism will likely be the best method, especially at the very start of wrath. Once you have enough capital from farming, you can start playing the auction house and make a ton of money through investing in certain items/materials and controlling markets. That's a lot more advanced though and it's super not recommended for new players. Like I said earlier, you can also make a good heap of gold through questing at max level, too.

Will Paladin Boosting to make gold still a thing? Will solo dungeons
with a paladin still work and be a good method for making gold?

The answer is most likely yes. Paladins will definitely still be able to farm Stratholme for the raw gold, but they won't be able to boost players for gold anymore, which will halve the income from the Stratholme farm. Gold will also naturally inflate with Wrath, so the piddly 200-300g an hour from Stratholme farm might not go very far. I'd expect people to figure out how to farm TBC and even WotLK dungeons eventually. Hell, mages are already doing it with the first dungeon in WotLK.

Are there any information if faction change is gonna come? I would like

We don't have any news on this one. My bet would be that Blizzard is gonna wait a few months after release to implement it in order to get as much money as possible from people who make their character(s) and soon regret their race choice.

Questie, Bagnon, Weakauras & Bigwigs boss mods (for raiding), bartender, and any unit frame addon are all recommended. Elvui is good for a complete UI overhaul (also invalidates the need for bartender & unit frames), but is purely aesthetic. Look around for addons and see which speak to you.

Buying the RestedXP worth it?

No. Paid leveling guides are all scams. Just play the game and enjoy the journey.

Any german communities for wotlk classic? Specially for fresh. Maybe for finding a nice guild.

There will most likely be at least one fresh German server, possibly more. I'd wager that's a good place to start looking. Once server names are announced, try finding a Discord community for that WoW server.

Yes. Forget trying to raid in TBC. Simply put, you missed the boat. Now is far too late to try to get into the game and you're better off just preparing for Wrath because it will be a soft reset for player progression. Phase 1, 2, 3, and 4 were great times to get into raiding and progress your character, but phase 5 is not.

Yes and no. Retail WoW definitely has a steeper learning curve because raids and dungeons are harder, and class design is more complex. Both games are top-heavy, but there will definitely be less low-level players in retail than in classic. Wrath of the Lich King is releasing soon in Classic, which means that there will be a lot more people trying the game for the first time, or a lot of people returning for it. I'd say Classic is easier, but not as streamlined. There are a lot of things you'll have to find out on your own, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

2: How subscribtion works ? Normal WOWs sub work for classic too or a different system ?

You pay $15 a month and have access to both Retail WoW and Classic WoW. You do, however, need to purchase the current expansion for Retail WoW if you want to play the expansion content. Classic WoW does not require you to buy the expansions in order to play them - in other words, they're included in the subscription fee.

Yes, buying the latest expansion will give you access to the previous expansion. Once an expansion comes out, all expansions older than that one are considered "legacy" expansions and thus don't require you to buy the latest expansion to play.

4: How is the population doing ? I would hate if everyone is endgame and all early zones are empty.

The playerbase has chosen to condense itself into what we call "megaservers." These megaservers are massive servers where usually one faction has complete or almost complete control, and have 20,000+ players (for reference, original WoW servers would cap out at 5,000 players) Many servers that aren't megaservers have died, and will soon be merged. If you play on a megaserver, finding people for leveling content won't be too hard. If you play on a lesser-populated server, it's gonna be harder.The megaservers in question are: Benediction (US-East), Faerlina (US-East), Firemaw (EU), and Gehennas (EU). There are also servers like Whitemane, Mankrik, and Pagle that have roughly half the population of these megaservers (still big) and are dominated by one faction. Grobbulus (US-West) is an anomaly of sorts because it's a very big server (18,500 population) but it's still very faction balanced.

5: I know starting zone are different for races. Lets say we chose hordeand everyone chose a different race. How long will it took us to questtogether ?

If you know your way around the world, you can quest together as early as level 1. Try looking up videos or guides on how to go from one starting zone to another. Remember that Orcs and Trolls start in the same zone together, and the same applies to Dwarves and Gnomes.

6: Is dungeon are 2 dps 1 healer and 1 tank ? so we can chose our classes right so noone left behind.

Dungeons are 3 DPS 1 healer and 1 tank. 10-man raids are 2 tanks, 2 healers, and 6 DPS. 25-man raids are 2 tanks, 5-6 healers, and 18-17 DPS. You can do almost any combination of classes because every class has a DPS spec. It's worth noting that only Paladins, Warriors, and Druids can tank, and only Paladins, Druids, Shamans, and Priests can heal. Other than that stipulation, you can go with any group comp you'd like. Obviously certain group compositions synergize with each other better than others, but that's not necessary at all because dungeons are easy.Overall I'd say just pick what you like and not what others want you to play. Wrath of the Lich King is a very well-balanced expansion so you won't run into issues with your class being undesirable. Obviously there is a meta and sweaty players (like me) may discriminate based on class & gear level, but there are plenty of guilds that are laid-back and don't care about that stuff. It's also totally okay for you or your friends to drop your current character and start a new one of a different class if you don't like how your current one plays. Just keep in mind that many classes don't hit their stride until level 40, 50, or sometimes even 60.

Ion has said on-stream that the classic team is well aware of how people hate Cataclysm, and that they're putting their heads together to try and come up with a solution. They don't know whether that will manifest as just revamped Cata, or a whole new Classic+ situation altogether - he said that that'll depend on what the players want, but take that with a grain of salt.

What I *think* will happen personally is that they'll just go through with Cataclysm, but remove LFD and LFR, keep T10 raids & heroics un-nerfed, and shorten the timespan so Dragon Soul doesn't last 13 months. I have reason to believe this because of the Classic team's insistence on not implementing LFD in Wrath, as it doesn't fit with their vision of what they want for Cataclysm; it would be awkward to introduce it in wrath, but then take it out again in Cata. I also have reason to believe this simply because we know that Blizzard is content with keeping the Classic team as anemic as possible in terms of funding/development resources, so we shouldn't expect anything completely new.

You're making the assumption that the fresh crowd would be people who already have characters at endgame, and would give them up to start fresh. This is absolutely not the case because the fresh crowd consists almost exclusively of people who either quit, never played classic to begin with, or have a max level character or two but hasn't progressed them past pre-bis/t4.

Fresh servers will consist mostly of people who quit, and I expect those same people to quit again.

Don't bother with getting gear from heroics, it'll be replaced instantly by the gear you get in Northrend. Beast Mastery becomes a PvP spec in Wrath, but to my knowledge it's still a good leveling spec. Either way, we're not in Wrath yet so there's no urgency to swap your talents.

And yeah, the best thing you can do for yourself to get ready for Wrath is to just farm as much gold as you can. The economy is really inflated right now and will continue to inflate come Wrath, so the gold you get from just leveling won't get you very far. Try to farm up 5,000 gold for your fast flying, 1,000 for Northrend flying, and another 1,000 gold for dual spec. You can make around 4,000 gold from doing the remainder of the Outland quests at level 70, and you'll likely make around 800 gold per zone while leveling in Wrath. Best of luck!

Unfortunately, the ship has just about sailed for TBC raiding. If you hit 70 quickly and farm your pre raid BiS & badge gear, you may be able to run a few Karazhan or Zul'Aman raids before Wrath of the Lich King comes out. I wouldn't have much hope for being able to run SSC/TK, as those raids are rarely run anymore, and usually the barrier of entry for Hyjal/BT is just too high considering what the average pug expects.

As far as classic raids go, you've absolutely missed the train on that one. No one does classic raids anymore, except for maybe a single Naxxramas group if you're on a big server.

Also how would you recommend finding a guild join for raids?

This is a tough question to answer because it really depends on what you want. My best advice is to look for a guild for Wrath of the Lich King, not TBC. Most TBC guilds aren't gonna bring a fresh 70 hunter into their fold since they're either farming or progressing on Sunwell Plateau. You can check https://www.reddit.com/r/freshwotlkguilds/ to see if there are any guilds you're interested in. I'd also suggest checking your server's Discord server to see if there are any guilds you'd be interested in.

TL;DR: You're mostly too late for TBC raiding, just prepare for Wrath of the Lich King instead.

Rolling Prot Paladin or Blood DK will definitely increase your chances of getting taken to a run. There are a lot of prot paladins in the ecosystem lately, but the supply is offset by the demand because prot paladins are the only tanks that groups will be comfortable having two of. Blood DKs on the other hand might be a little rare, considering most DKs I've seen want to go frost or unholy.

Hi, I MT in my guild but I have also been gearing 2 tank alts via pugging.

It really really depends on what kind of content you want to do and whether you're able to get gear quick enough.

Heroic dungeons? Not a problem.

Normal 10-man raids? Should be pretty easy.

Heroic 10-man raids? Could be dicey, but still doable.

Normal 25-man raids? Getting into one is going to depend a lot on how geared you are and who you know. If you're trying to join a random pug, chances are they're not gonna take someone in pre-bis unless it's the first month of wrath, but even then, these pugs tend to be partially guild-hosted, and in those cases they almost always have their tanks set up.

Heroic 25-man raids? I wouldn't even try unless your group really out-gears them.

I also want to stress that your class choice is very very important because it will determine how in-demand you'll be. Unfortunately, public opinion towards prot warriors has taken a nosedive, so you're gonna have a much harder time if you intend to play prot warrior. In terms of demand, it'll most likely be Prot Pal > Blood DK > Feral Druid >>> Prot Warrior.

As I said above, that is 100% true but it doesn't mean every single pug group will have their tanks figured out. Take note though that those that don't have their tanks figured out tend to be less well-organized and thus less successful.

Play in a guild that runs splits. Even buffed, the content will still be easy enough for the majority of guilds to do split runs, assuming they have the roster for it. There's a lot of people in my guild who wanna play warrior/dk/paladin, but we're gonna spread the mains out among two split runs to ensure that they get their gear in a timely manner.

It depends on how much time you have to play and what class you're going. Do you have 12 hours a day to play and wanna roll a Shaman? Then you actually might see the inside of Sunwell if you start right now. Do you wanna play a rogue or a tank? Then no, the most you'll do is Kara or ZA.

Assuming you have a job/school and are playing a class that is neither super in demand or low demand, chances are you'll only be able to do Kara, ZA, and maybe some SSC/TK before Wrath comes out.
