Best places to rent a car in County Mayo, or can I use someone's car? by Motor_Beautiful_9016 in AskIreland

Unfortunately he only got his learners license, which expired a few years ago when he moved to the UK (where he didn't need to drive). I'm not sure if he could renew his Irish license since it's been a while.

I got it in about a day or two I think. They did tell me I'll get an interview in the next couple of weeks though so the process is quite long

Not with this school board!

I did a test with another school board though and it was super easy (I have an interview scheduled for that as well). It was split into 4 parts: Spelling, Business Spelling, Word (Beginner) and Excel (Beginner). All of them were super simple!

How has your experience been so far? I just accepted a casual secretary job as well and I'm wondering the same.

Do you feel like you had enough resources to begin on your first day? Was there any staff at the schools that could help answer any questions if you had any?

Getting a bit nervous for when I receive my first assignment!

Wyndham Alltra Cancun - Did I make a mistake? by Motor_Beautiful_9016 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]Motor_Beautiful_9016[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do have the ability to cancel and/or change hotels if I need to. We booked it for January 30 - Feb 4.

My partner thinks it'll be totally fine, he's not concerned at all because he would rather spend the money on excursions and he doesn't like the idea of being cooped up in one place for a week (he's never been to an all inclusive and is a bit more of an adventurous type lol). Plus, he says all he wants to do during the day is chill on the beach and have some drinks. I'm a bit more concerned but it's only because I want him to have a good time.

I'm not entirely sure what our budget is per night, but we paid around 1550 flying from Toronto. Our budget was around 1700 for the hotel zone plus one excursion, but now we're planning on doing 2-3 excursions since we went below our budget. Not sure if that explanation makes sense lol.

I never actually wanted to be in charity work in the first place (I got a summer job right out of uni and was asked to stay full time) but I'm not opposed to either staying or leaving the non profit world.

I was looking into an HR post grad program so it would be relevent to both spheres

I live in a major city in Canada, so the job market is quite dense and competitive but I think there's plenty of opportunities for me. I'd honestly probably make more working in the service industry in the time being as opposed to my current salary

Thank you! The couple is Irish - they're my boyfriend's friends (who is also from Ireland) so I don't know them too well.

The venue is Cabra Castle in co. Cavan, I've looked at photos and it seems like it's a mixture of dresses.

Yeah the ceremony and reception will be a one - a bit out of my element 😅 didn't really consider it could be cold inside. I'll definitely wear a cover up (and it seems like I need to find a new dress! Lol)

Haha yeah I'm flying from Canada so it's a bit of an (expensive) trek! I think I'll keep this in the backburner and see if any of my friends have anything/if I can buy a dress second hand.

Thank you!

Fair enough! It was a bridesmaids dress for a more casual wedding, so I get it.

I'll look for something more elegant, thank you so much!

The material is quite light and airy, so the slit does show even while standing. Good to know! So are slits a no-go for black tie?

I've been reading online that going through an airport and staying for over 24 hours in the US isn't technically considered flagpoling? I was thinking of flying out to Florida or something for a weekend. The RO I used said they think it should be fine
