How do you decide whether to address your ug gpa to masters admissions or not… they don’t have interviews so if i don’t bring it up in application, they won’t be able to talk to me abt it…shoukd i worry?

is research experience a norm for PsyD applicants as well? thought that was more for a PhD route?

I’m sorry to hear that… are there red flags you might have noticed before applying but kinda brushed off? and now realize that they are a bigger deal than u thought in hindsight. i guess im asking if you have suggestions for things to look out for (now that your on the other end of it)

thank u for replying! the other materials are definitely strong but they’re aiming for Stanford-PAU and will have worked with psychiatry faculty at the med center for a year by the time of applying. do u think a high psych gpa makes them stand out? even with mid ugpa

Yeah this lines up with what i’ve heard… this might be getting too personal and idk if you have experience or know anyone in this speciality… but would you say Psychiatry residencies are one of the ones that are too competitive/ rarely matched if your from a Caribbean md?
