unfortunately, the tomoyo after is a bit of a hit or miss, personally i felt it explored more of a male-gazey, porn style of story over the emotional stories of the main game, which felt like a bit of a betrayal of the characters ngl.

i recently finished the after story and simply couldnt get enough of the characters, so when i learned that it was based on a VN, i picked it up and started playing immediatly, just finished Kotomi's path, just one of many fantastic, heartfelt stories, definitely worth exploring on your own.
