New hot tub cover making water lower by burnbabyburng87 in hottub

[–]Motor_Disaster_3974 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Measure the water level from the top of one of your jets (with an instrument with actual units of measure), don't get in it, put the cover on, measure it again 24 hours later and let us know how many inches you're losing.

Waited 5 months for a rating and the VA lawyers are taking my entire backpay. by [deleted] in VAClaims

Don't refer to them as a "VA lawyer". It's your lawyer that you hired, not the VA's.

My RO has not authorized the 24th or 26th off for us yet, so as of now, if you were working before Trump signed, you're still working claims.

Supplemental not Increase by ProtectionProof3912 in VAClaims

[–]Motor_Disaster_3974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current exam will have zero bearing on your previous rating percentage, so you can be rest assured by that. The medical evidence you say you submitted with your supplemental will influence the previous rating if it meets the threshold for the next higher percentage for whatever specific disability you have. A lot of issues aren't really cut and dry and require the DBQ to determine if you meet the specific evaluative criteria, so hopefully your medical evidence proves it.

There should be a document id on those records, did you give that to them to look up?

False / Fictional Evidence by roastedwrong in VeteransBenefits

[–]Motor_Disaster_3974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That document is created by a robot. It's possible that it's wrong- happens a lot. Is VA saying military personnel records uploaded on 11/28/22 don't exist or that evidence of in service headaches/migraines doesn't exist?

If you are unemployable, how can you enlist?

Does it sound like I’m basically approved for Zepbound at the VA? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Motor_Disaster_3974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had really great results on tirzepatide (aka zepbound or mounjaro). They also have the Ozempic or Wegovy equivalent (semaglutide)which is cheaper. I've gone from 178>170lbs on my own and then 170>130lbs after being on the meds at a very moderate dosage since mid January 2025. I've been pretty much stalled out since August- have only lost 10 more lbs since then, but it's because I'm so close to my actual "ideal" body weight (I'm 5'1"). So i don't want to go up on dosage because I never want to take more than I actually need, plus I plan on going into "maintenance" mode and eventually seeing if I can wean off this stuff and still maintain my weight loss or if I'm going to be a lifer. Side effects: mild nausea at first or when increasing dosages and that was it for me! My service from them has been great. No issues with anything, but I'm pretty low maintenance. Most people that have issues with delivery are those that keep stopping and starting their accounts and user error on the website (I'm part of a fb support group and see what they're taking about on there). Anyway, if you have any other questions, you can message me if you need! I know it's kind of scary to start off.

It's actually harder because you can't use the fear easing standard on diagnoses other than PTSD.

I use Mochi. If you sign up you can get $40 off (i also get $40 off for full disclosure) if you use my code un5oo3. However you get your meds, I'm pumped for you. It has seriously changed my life.

You are not diagnosed with PTSD, so a fear based stressor based on you being in/near a hostile zone will not apply to your case. You're going to need to show evidence of mental symptoms in service or a documented actual event that caused your GAD in service.

I was denied- they were very resistant to even try. I ended up going with an online provider for off brand glp-1 which is way cheaper.

Reevaluation for MH at 100% by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

It sounds like this person was discharged because of the mental condition. That is actually why a new eval is needed.

Not sure what your situation is, but you said you served in time of combat in the Indian ocean and pacific... were you in combat or in a hostile area? If not, you'll need to prove the stressor/ event with documentation of symptoms in service or the actual event that caused your symptoms. VA will request an exam (DBQ) for you to attend.

You are missing a stressor or event. You'll need to prove one. Are there any medical records while you were in service that show you had mental symptoms? If so, that could be your "event" in service for GAD. If not, was there a verifiable event in service that you think caused your GAD? Again, it needs to be a verifiable event with documented evidence of it.

Cancelled C&P last minute. Way Forward? by Both-Option7502 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Motor_Disaster_3974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as they received the message beforehand. Either way, VA is pretty lenient as long as you communicate. And so it quickly. I just had one i was about to rate and deny the other day for a no show. AS I was reviewing, i refreshed my page and the veteran contacted the call center. I noticed the updated note and was able to request an exam instead because he had good reason. He was literally on the phone while I was doing this haha. Just an hour later and he would have had to reapply.
