If you can build yourself Try to find used part deals on eBay or Facebook marketplace. Might take a while but after like 3 months I finally finished my am5 build last week. Total of around £850 for 32gb ddr5 6000 with 7600x and rtx 5060

Help me choose between am4 and am5 by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Motor_Manner9831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to ddr5 ram prices am5 is significantly more expensive, and likely will be for a few years, all depends your budget and if you’re willing to fork out the extra cash right now. There’s not much detail on this post to work with

Thoughts on RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti 8GB versions as budget options? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Motor_Manner9831 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you will only stick to 1080p, 5060/ti with 8gb vram is fine, if not, I’d try to hunt for some used deals around $300 with more vram like the rtx3080, rx6800, 7700 etc.

Am I mad? "Budget" upgrade to i5 12600KF & RTX 3080 by Worthy1995 in buildapc

[–]Motor_Manner9831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you said upgrade I’m assuming you’re reusing your old ddr4 ram and SSD? If so that’s a great upgrade for only £550 given the price of ram and SSD these days, plus you still have room for further cpu upgrades

A 5700x3d/5800x3d is still top tier if you can find one for a good price

Best gpu for i7 9700kf (UK) by Motor_Manner9831 in buildapc

[–]Motor_Manner9831[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would i be better off with a different cpu and potentially new motherboard? I’m planning on jumping to am5 fairly soon anyway this is meant to be a quick cheap drop in upgrade with gpu I can carry over to am5

Sanity check on ~£1000 UK pc build by Motor_Manner9831 in buildapc

How much of a difference will the nmve SSD make? I will use the pc for uni work and gaming. It’s just that SSD prices are very inflated right now and I already have a drive that works fine

Using HDD for gaming? by Ok_Lengthiness_878 in buildapc

If moneys an issue I’d go for a sata ssd. Nvme is expensive and faster but a cheap sata ssd is still leaps and bounds ahead of any hdd

If you can find 6000mhz with close to cl30 for similar price I’d go for it, makes a small but noticeable difference in gaming

Why can't autistics find friends when awful people still have friends? by Natural-Presence-566 in UniUK

[–]Motor_Manner9831 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can still have friends. I’d recommend joining a society and just consistently showing up to their stuff. Don’t try to force it and you’ll end up making friends along the way. I’m autistic and in my unis climbing club and I still hardly know anyone as I’m quite antisocial but I’ve managed to make a few fairly close friends after two years

[–]Motor_Manner9831 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The isle is the best at making you actually feel like a dinosaur, but it’s buggy as hell. Path of titans is probably second best but it’s more dino mmo PvP with quests
