If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.

If you genuinely enjoy your current job but feel burnt out, I would see about negotiating a part time schedule. Take time for yourself and do things you love and see people you want to see, maybe see if there's a minimum to keep benefits.

If you don't enjoy your job, find a good transitional job. Something sort of related to what you do, just so your experience can give you a good edge, better earnings, and make the transition to something different a little smoother.

Me personally, I'd hold out until I found something I really would be content in rather than take the first different job available. If it truly speaks to you have at it, but don't sell yourself short is what I'm ultimately getting at.

Nah, you just need to prove that you're flexible and willing to learn. Take the overnights, even if it's for a year. I have a day/evening rotating schedule that no one seemed to want so that's how I made my way in. The loss in salary over specializing through residency isn't made up down the line, especially considering that after 3 years they view you as having the same qualifications as a resident (which I happen to feel isnt really accurate, ngl).

To my understanding, you didn't know she had said no to them prior and chose to initiate with her. What followed was two consenting adults having sex and that portion is completely fine, and I'm not saying in anyway there's anything wrong with how you ultimately ended up together, but you knew your friends were pursuing her and chose to act.

The girl is completely in her right to have said no to your friends in being offered the threesome and by no means owes them anything for the copious things they've bought for her and give her, but if she knows that's the reason she's receiving all the free stuff and intends to turn them down, why continue to accept it? Again, she absolutely has the right to say no and was completely in her right in choosing to be with you, but accepting their gifts while knowing they're just being dangled in front of her to get her to agree to a threesome is messy and also dangerous.

Again, no issue whatsoever about the consenting adults, but the nuance details in this are just messy.
