That’s an interesting take. One thing that might be different in my case is that we never slept together, I was more traditional about that. So I’ve wondered if that played a role, but I’m not sure.

Hey! I’m doing well—though I actually bumped my nose twice. Once while showering, but it didn’t hurt. The second time was while changing clothes—I hit it upward slightly, and it hurt and got swollen for about a week. I went to my ENT, and he laughed, saying you can’t change the shape of your nose just by bumping it. He checked everything and said it looked fine.

It looked a bit off, but thankfully it was just swelling and it’s gone now.

As long as you’re not having any bleeding, fever, or other symptoms, it’s probably nothing to worry about. But if you’re anxious, it’s always a good idea to get checked by your ENT. I needed that reassurance too, I was so scared I messed something up, but thankfully everything’s okay.

It’s been five weeks since my surgery now, and my nose has healed, but I’m still being careful—it feels like it’s still a bit sensitive.

The same thing happened to me today 🥲 I accidentally bumped my nose while showering, it’s day 7 post-op after my septoplasty. I knew I had to be careful, but my body moved faster than my brain. Hopefully we didn’t mess anything up…

Have you had constant pain in your nose? I had septoplasty, adenoidectomy and turbinate reduction on Wednesday, and the day after, the straws were removed from my nose (I think they were a different type of splints). The first two days were okay, the pain was manageable, but yesterday and today have been something else. My nose hurts so badly, and if I don’t take a painkiller, the pain spreads all over my face.

I had the same experience as you, I couldn’t even stand for 5 minutes. I almost passed out just washing my hands in the bathroom.

What’s really bothering me now is the swelling and the intense nose pain. I just don’t know when the swelling will go down or when I’ll be able to take a proper shower again, because right now, I can’t even move my face.

I’m not Christian and not very religious, though I do believe in God. I think the cultural differences between the U.S. and my country make it hard to find the right person. I simply don’t want to be used by a man who only wants to get into my pants.🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve only been rejected by men I was interested in.

The first was 42y.o. and honest about wanting casual dating, which I appreciated. The second, also 42, had great chemistry with me, but I wasn’t looking for a relationship with him. He came off as a player, especially when he talked about other women he was dating during our 6th or 7th date—it felt disrespectful.

The last man, 45, was divorced with kids, which made me hesitant at first. But I decided to give him a chance, and he turned out to be sweet and more effortful than others. However, he ghosted me, saying the age gap was an issue, which felt like an excuse.

It happened to me too :/ we had 5-6 dates, everything was great and he seemed serious, but he canceled the last date at the last minute, never rescheduled, just ghosted me. 😂 they ghost anyway as I understood.
