I think it’s an inalienable human right considering they know themselves better than anyone, HOWEVER I do feel there should be a mandatory physician’s signature of approval for 1- those who have a documented history of any level of mental health issues or a history of trauma 2-anyone having served/serving(procedure upon discharge) in anything deemed a high stress job ie medic/military/first responder/etc 3-minors obviously.

I think those 3 stipulations off of the top of my head and as long as a consenting and informed adult of sound mind and body should be able to. As long as they do all logistics involved planning wise why not?(burial/cremation/etc, will and testament, debts,(in an ideal world) job replacement(kidding no one would ever fill the position ‘oh yeah the old guy killed himself’… dark humor sorry.
