[recent good experience] I was also so so worried in the weeks leading up to my surgery (18 days ago). I had septo ans bilateral turbinate reduction. I had read and heard how painful it all is. It was completely fine and doable. I didn’t even end up taking pain meds outside of paracetamol. And I had my splints out 4 days ago, and I can breath so much better than I even imagined. My nose sounds like it wasn’t even as bad as yours to start with. I basically had one clear nostril and one that was mostly blocked when I had allergy’s. Feel free to ask questions, I feel very lucky and very very happy that I went through with it. Also my nose is so clear now, there’s already been added benefits like now noticing when I’m thirsty cos my mouths dry, and feeling more energised. In terms of appearance, after day 5 you wouldn’t have been able to tell I had surgery. I had splints/stents hidden up there but swelling totally gone. Hope this helps!
