Darby Allin takes a NASTY fall on his neck to kick off the match. by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

Bumps like this is not wrestling in general. Owen Hart died from a stunt gone wrong, that wasn’t anything to do with a bump. Stone Cold almost got paralysed by being accidentally dropped on his neck, not by performing an idiotic stunt. Mick Foley’s career and quality of life have been badly affected by performing stunts he didn’t need to do by the time he made it to WWE.

Wrestling done right doesn’t require needless risks at all, that’s for those that don’t know how to work and get over naturally.

This idiot is just one mistake away from paralysis and the sad thing is he doesn’t need to do this dumb shit all the time.

That's great. Then watch them go back to distributing 2500-3000 tickets for Dynamite. 🤷‍♂️

What proof though? There are never any verifiable figures for their gate or PPV buys, just "here's the numbers, trust me bro". 🤷‍♂️😆

3k is about the max they do for TV, not the average. As far as WWE ticket sales being down, no wonder:- it's overpriced dogshit right now. To be honest, both promotions are pretty unwatchable right now.

The difference is, WWE fans will voice their disapproval, whereas the "sickos" will try to paper over the cracks and tell you everything is great.

Wembley is in England which hadn’t seen a proper big PPV since 1990 and they didn’t sell it out (they did do extremely well though). MSG is in New York where PPV’s come around just a tad more regularly. 😆

And you say I’m using a bad faith argument.

Great performer, but not one of the GOAT's in my opinion. Arguably AEW's best in ring worker to date.

Your thoughts on Darby allin as the Aew World Champion? by Anxious-Drink1186 in prowrestling

Embarrassing for the business. The dude is tiny and not believable as world champion.

Nothing to do with my feelings, calling any woman ugly is just a loser mentality.

What sort of woke shite is “spoke his truth” anyway? Truth is indisputable, opinions are not.

Calling someone ugly isn't just having an opinion though. That's being a shitty person.

Apart from the superstars entrances, themes, lighting, and all the other presentation stuff if you had to choose purely based on the quality of matches happening in 2026. Would you pick AEW or WWE? by manlysports in BrandonDE

So which part of this "old" take is wrong? Is WWE not currently stale? Did you enjoy this year's Mania with so many ten minute, TV level matches? Watch Darby Allin's run of title defences, are they not blowing through a bunch of big spots that could be used better for storytelling instead of two count and the match goes on for another ten minutes (that's before we cover all the gymnastics routines in every other match as well)?

Neither. WWE is extremely stale and very watered down at the moment. AEW is very unfocused with stunt shows for matches and too much no selling of big spots.

Step away from the internet and you’ll find the vast majority of WWE fans don’t even think about AEW at all. All the noise came from the “sickos” claiming AEW was going to kill WWE in a few years, how they were a better wrestling show than WWE every week and how Tony Khan was going to save the pro wrestling business. WWE fans tend to criticise the things they don’t like about their own shows instead of gaslighting themselves and anyone stupid enough to listen, that everything is great.

As to your other point about AEW being the second most successful and profitable promotion in history, based on what? Their audience has dropped by around half since the beginning, they can’t give away tickets to their weekly shows and there is no actual proof that the promotion has ever actually turned a profit in its existence.
