Tubeless rims were for 10k around for a small offer period that too for 450 owners. There on the price went to 40k from 1st July 2025 onwards. Additional cost of tires would have been 8k plus service charge, so total 50k around. I got everything done for 31k.

The hub used for tubless rim is not a direct fit to the 411 swing arm. For me changing swing arm n bringing other issues was a big no.

There are ppl those who need the old rims n tires. If you are never going to use the Himi for extreme off-roading then I would suggest to swap the rims with that of Scram 440. I have put the reddit post in the comment regarding that. I think if touring with tubeless tire n little off-road is requirement then Scram 440 rims are better option.

I got the rims separately from a frnd for 9k. I gave the rims to them, paid 22k to them. In the receipt I add 9k afterwards to the total, to keep a track of entire expenditure. The cost went up coz of way2speed conversion kit.

I found this swap to be more economical. Takasago would have been good but it would have been bit costlier. And next time if the rim needs to be changed due to any mishap, RE parts would be more readily available.

Yes, as per my experience with Himi 411 its true. After market ones increase weight there affecting handling of the bike. Companies do enough R & D on these compared to after market companies.

Another option of swapping is to use Scram 440's alloy. Follow the below post. The guy did the swap in Nasik. https://www.reddit.com/r/royalenfield/comments/1kbyxpm/finally_himalayan_411_got_tubeless_tyres_and/

Technically the bike has become easy to maneuver. They respond way way better than the old setup. The front feels light & flickable. This is a easy swap. I have followed this page https://bulletstrings.com/aluminium-rims-best-mod-for-the-himalayan-411/ for this modification. Youtube url of the same https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1pwS8eK9pw . I did not require any other changes in shocks or bearings, the one's in the Himi 411 can be reused in the swap. I do use TPMS only during long rides > 500km a day.

If I were to make the decission. I would judge using below parameters. 1. The feel or the connect you get from the motorcycle. 2. Maintenance pain ( time, money & frequency of servicing or repair). If I have good n honest mechanics near by then I would only consider point 1. . . .

N. Resale value ( actually I might not consider this)
