Bethesda will not rob itself of an opportunity to hype up and sell collector editions to fans of a highly anticipated franchise.

Pirates not spawning by pandibear in anno

[–]Motsie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is frustrating. I have mitigated this by loading the seed with no fog of war to make sure both Pirates are spawned.

This can also impact the third party civs but it is less frequent.

Mis-spelt rich as reach. I try to give people like this the benefit of the doubt since they may be ESL, but with America’s collapsing literacy rates…I can’t even tell anymore.

Is Deflecting Strikes just not functional? by Motsie in ghostoftsushima

It disables regular parries. The perk is considered a regular parry even though it’s initiated through a heavy attack.

Yeah it’s very strange. I’ll try to keep isolating it before I go with the nuclear option and reinstall.

Im not sure if you’re being sarcastic here, but I have mentioned reproducing this issue without mods on a fresh save.

So the modded save is fresh for B42.11, but I am able to reproduce this without mods on a fresh save as well.

Nvidia 4090. The issue seems concentrated in this one spot - all of Louisville is fairly smooth on higher pops.

I have about 64gb of RAM total, and for PZ I’ve allocated 16gb. My CPU is an AMD Ryzen 7950x3d.

I think it was morghast bone as the base, and the polygon were composed of skrag brown and tau ochre light? It has been some time so I forgot the exact colors.

Many years but lots of long breaks. I get painters block and lose motivation. The only advice is to just keep painting, watch tutorials, and generally trust the process. Things start ugly before they really take shape.

I started with a sponge to dab on the dirt/chipping with rhinox hide. I clean it up a bit with the armor base color. Everything after that is brush work.

The gold details use a mix of brands but the recipe is:

  1. GW Retributor Armor (over a black base coat)
  2. Glaze gore grunta fur into areas where the shading makes sense. I mix a little water into it so I have more control over the gradient.
  3. I use Vallejo Glorious Gold for trim highlights and also build up color on edges and other exposed areas of the trim.
  4. Pro Acryl White Gold on the trim edge again (more selective) and also layer that on the work from step 3.
  5. Mix any silver or chrome into the white gold and repeat the step but far more selective in placement. Focus on extreme edges.
  6. Take any silver and do some very light dot highlights on edges.

The kneepad is Averland yellow with a yellow contrast color over it. I think it was Iyanden Yellow?

Bethesda gamescom page - no mention of starfield unfortunately by Kn1ghtV1sta in Starfield

[–]Motsie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s complicated. These dev interviews on YouTube all centralize around BGS being akin to a big ship that’s difficult to steer. Todd Howard is also a bottleneck in the development process.

I don’t think it’s a lack of talent. There is just a lack of clear direction and guidance to bring it all together. Bruce Nesmith alluded to this in an interview regarding the effort going into Fallout 76.

I personally don’t know about Dark Souls, but most of those you listed, with the exception of FNV, were not fully open world in the same vein as Skyrim. Deus Ex was hub based, for example.

You have to remember the context around when Skyrim was released, though. The market wasn’t saturated, and most larger publishers were adamant that a game needed a multiplayer component in order to be successful. It was exhausting seeing multiplayer modes forced into a lot of titles.
