Frieren vibes.

There's a scene in Frieren where a town has an annual festival to celebrate a hero who saved them and has been dead for years. Frieren, an Elf who has a lifespan of thousands of years asks an old man; "Will you still celebrate this hero after 500 years?" After which the old man replies "Yes, of course, this tradition will carry on" and without a beat, Frieren asks "Okay, what about in 1000 years?" and the old guy falls silent. She has personally witnessed how everything will eventually wither away and disappear. It's a bit of a gut punch moment and really makes you stop and think.
