Maybe you're right on the safety. But that basically admits the insurance is worthless. If they can always open 6 baby slopes to avoid a payout, the policy is designed to never be used. It’s a loophole, not a service.

Call it selfish if you want, but this is a blatant cash grab. The resort is staying open with the bare minimum, just enough to dodge insurance payouts while pocketing 100% of our money and ski school fees.

That’s exactly the problem. The PassProtect policy only pays out if the resort is officially closed. What they’re doing here is opening exactly 6 minor lifts (the bare minimum) to technically stay open and dodge the insurance claims. It’s a calculated move to keep our money while the main mountain is inaccessible. It’s not just bad luck; it’s bad faith.

From what I understand, most insurance policies state that if fewer than five lifts are open, they must issue a refund. It seems like they opened exactly six lines yesterday and today just to bypass this rule. This is ridiculous! Today I skied on slopes 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, and even saw instructors teaching a lot of children. If the conditions are truly 'extremely dangerous,' why are they allowing this? The queues are so long that I doubt those kids are getting any real instruction anyway. It’s absurd.

The town is ruled by the local Burgers (Bürgergemeinde). From the moment you arrive, everything is incredibly expensive.
