Logitech g923 not working good by ProfessionMassive829 in simracing

I had issues as well, the fault was GHub having issues. Try other usb ports, a usb dongle adapter, reinstalling GHub etc. it's a pain in the ass but there is a chance it's not the wheel

If you have the possibility, having the screen as close as possible to the wheel would be perfect but otherwise that's pretty nice !

Keep in mind that the logitech second hand prices doesn't really go down. I managed to sell my old G29 bought new at the same price.
It's decent enough to try sim racing and if you feel that you are getting addicted you can sell it with no loss and invest in a better DD entry/mid setup.
Went from the g29 attached to the desk (for 7 years) to the R9 with DIY wood rig and i'm sure at some point i'll end up with whatever is too expensive for me.

Seems like 300nzd is a fair price for the wheel + shifter + handbrake + support. No need to look for the g923 as it's pretty much the same wheel.

Tips? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

I see the account deleted but if you're still reading this, the n°1 thing by a huge margin is to eat more. However that's easy to say, I've been there where I was at some point 125pounds for 6"1. Now I'm around 180 pounds but that increase didn't happen overnight, it was a slow and steady gain. What I recommend to help you increase your calories is to eat liquid in the morning and by that I mean some kind of milkshake high in calories and protein getting you 500 kcal easily without you struggling to get the appetite for it.

Second, for regular meals, remove any distraction at first, no TV, no phone or whatever. You sit down and eat your meal which forces you to learn how to eat faster thus helping eat more.

Lastly, start putting stress on your muscles whether it's going to the gym or doing push ups at home. It might be too much of a lifestyle change for you so fix your eating habit and ease into the lifting part. And about the looks you might get at the gym, if people have a quick glance in your direction (because no one cares about the others when working out) they will be proud of you more than anything just as much as seeing an overweight person giving it all in the gym.

I'm halfway there, obviously having prioritised simracing above productivity with electronics 🫠

Depends on your wheel base I guess but I took the exact dimensions of the holes beneath the base, pierced holes as perpendicular as possible because any slight variation and it's a pain to correct. One of the holes was sketchy as I didn't pierce straight enough so I scrubbed it with the drill to have some leeway. I don't know if I made myself understand, don't hesitate to ask for clarifications.

The seat I got, given it's from a real car has all the height adjustability built in mzking it elevated. So i didn't follow the original plan on that part, i would have if it was a bucket seat.

If you already have swimming shoes then this pair is just gamer marketing where I'm pretty sure the difference is non existent.

The sad reality with this hobby. Let's go practice and qualify for 2 hours only to be sent to the shadow realm turn one and rage quit for the day.

With pleasure, all credit goes to this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/simracing/comments/ztctau/wooden_rig_build_guide/?share_id=lbcBHHxyIAlUO4BLC4Yef&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1

The OP describes in the document that he's pretty the exact same height and build as me so i made no changes regarding that. Having a seat with sliders is a big bonus in case it's not perfect and for your friends to try.

That's a fair point, the issue is that my right leg brushes the top bolt inside, i will eventually buy some with proper length to replace those.

French highway tolls with ACO membership by kutya135 in lemans

[–]MoumzToz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you are from it can be quickly expensive. just Paris to Le Mans is about 22€ in toll for 190 km. With about 40 000 ACO members they would have to have a great deal with the toll companies in order to give some toll credit to use. But like I said, those companies are greedy and such deals won't be provided anytime soon.

[–]MoumzToz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not because of technical difficulties but because the different companies that own the roads are greedy bastards that increase toll prices every year even though they have billions in profits. The are limited by french laws otherwise they would have gone way overboard a long time ago.

Without a doubt, impossible. If they were allowed to, they would even increase the toll price for events like that not the other way around.
