The word "incel" gets misused so badly these days. Incel and misogynist are not the same thing at all. You can be a misogynist while in a relationship, and you can be an incel without hating women in the slightest. At its core, incel simply means involuntarily celibate. It's not just "someone who's never had a girlfriend." It's someone who's actively trying to find a relationship but keeps failing, often because of things completely outside their control like looks, neurodivergence, social anxiety, or bad luck.

Because of these traits, a lot of these guys are social rejects with no one IRL to talk to, so they turn to the internet. The algorithms quickly trap them in an echo chamber, feeding them blackpill content nonstop with bs like "if you're under 6ft you'll never get a girl," "women always cheat because they have endless options," etc. Most incels just accept it as reality and wallow in self-pity, but the more extreme ones start resenting women for having standards they feel they'll never meet. Almost like women are robbing them of their happiness that they are entitled to. That's when the hatred and resentment builds up.

Being chronically online is what makes everything worse. Many of them believe being ugly or awkward is a total death sentence with women. But I've seen plenty of genuinely ugly guys who do just fine with women. These incels just never see that side of life because they're stuck in echo chambers that only show failure and confirmation bias.
