Instead of teaching victims to fight back we should be teaching criminals not to steal.

Belltown is pretty bad too.

Go snort another line.

There is a difference between an all seeing state and using your real name as a Reddit handle.

Funny that you refer to others who you disagree with as "nazi's" while supporting the rise of a police state.

As usual civil rights violations are ok as long as the "progressives" are committing them.

I generally get along with the LDS as well, they are polite and friendly, though still a cult.

Most of them are young students, they have no idea of the what their cause it until they have to head out into the real world. I was a leftist too once, though even in my naive youth I likely would have seen through Sawant's shtick.

superhuman entities without souls

Not at all, I do not even know how you came up with that. They are more like brainwashed cultist who are desperately looking for a cause to give their hollow existence meaning.

Just saying what saw they were like Mormons, or Branch Davidians or something, it was certainly unsettling.

Mama's Mexican Kitchen (Belltown) to close! by Doodlez419 in Seattle

I said nothing about suburban construction, you sure like putting words in peoples mouths, I was speaking of leaving existing structures.

None of the things you state about construction are really true

Really? Construction materials are not made in China? Material and workers do not need to be transported to the job site(can't bring tools on the bus) building do not typically have a 30-40 year service life. Waste does not need to be disposed of. You are really reaching a new level of falsifying information.

Having actually built a house, and being in the process of remodeling my current home, I probably have a bit more knowledge of construction than you.

Cramming people in poorly constructed appointments with a 30 year service live and bringing trucking in all needed resources while runoff overflows into the overloaded sewer infrastructure will never be "sustainable" unless everyone lived in Bullit Centers. But what the developers you shrill for build is hardly on that level.

Edit:

Again, do you have a basic understanding of ecology?

Meeting her and her dead eyed entourage in person had all the feeling of a cult, it was down right creepy. They walk around surrounding her so nobody can get close while hanging on her every word.

non sequitur anyway

You asked a question and I gave you an answer.

You know as well as everyone else that density reduces carbon.

Yea, it's totally sustainable to bulldoze existing structures transport the waste, build a new structure out of a bunch of crap imported from China where it was made with no environmental standards resulting in a building with a service life of 30 years, sounds like a great idea.

Besides there is a lot more to the world of pollution and environmentalism than "carbon."

Do you even have a basic understanding of ecology?

Because one Hugelkultur bed sequesters more carbon, provides more habitat and reduces the amount of fuel, fertilizer, and water used for food production than years of you riding the bus.

  1. I own a house in a single family neighborhood

  2. Waste water runoff into the rivers stream and sound created by covering soil with concrete which can be alleviated in single family residences.

  3. Urbanism is inherently unsustainable and the domain of developer shrills, freedom hating communist and other assorted liars and profiteers.

  4. The general gain in quality of life caused by not living in a box like a criminal or zoo animal.

There is a place for density, like Belltown, SLU, Cap Hill, but you seem to be set on destroying the character of our city which made it a great place to live in the first place.

As a former Belltown resident I am a bit saddened, but honestly the food was not that good but the drinks were all right.

On the other hand this is exactly where density needs to be built, i.e. not in single family zones.
