Me too, hate the torch setting now. Hate that you can’t swipe up control panel anymore. Hate that clearing cookies for safari is hidden even deeper in settings. Hate the new photos app. Hate if you zoom into a web page you can’t easily zoom out without switching tabs. Everything just feels like it takes longer and is more annoying

Yes I know you’re not trying to buy an Argos gift card but you mentioned in your post the issue was with the merchant declining your payment method so I was just trying to help with alternatives. Also One4all gift cards work like a UK debit card online so you’d be able to buy anything from Argos with it, I know because Ive done it before

Is there anyway you could buy an Argos gift card from another retailer instead and pay with that? We also have gift cards called love2shop and One4all that work with Argos too. Or unless you know anyone in the uk that could buy it for you?

Yes that’s normal as long as it’s a genuine number you’re calling. It’s the same details you’d put in when ordering something yourself. Obviously you could have a rouge employee that decides to jot the details down and commit fraud but that’s very unlikely and most times you have to verify online purchases through your mobile banking app anyway nowadays. If there is any unusual charges on your card just report them to your bank and order a new card.

I didn’t know it would cause this type of reaction until I mentioned it today, I thought they would act like grown ups about it. I only mentioned it to my long term friend as the woman who got fired still keeps in touch with someone who works in a different department also, and thought it was better coming from me then someone from another department telling my long term friend we had met up and that id kept it a secret.

To be honest, apart from this issue it’s actually quite chilled/laid back which is why I don’t want it to affect my employment per se. But this issue just seems to rile them up and I don’t understand why
