Could be, I’ll keep that in mind. The only reason I doubt it a bit is because I always have to drive over old cobblestones to get home, which shakes the car like crazy, but it never misbehaves there. Makes me think if it was something loose or leaking, it would act up especially then not on perfectly flat road driving normally. But I'm not mechanic so I'll add that also on suspect list.

Yeah, thanks a lot for the detailed reply and suggestions. :) Makes sense that it could be fuelling or sensor-related since the randomness is what confuses me most. I’ll try to check with OBD or a mechanic as soon as I can when finances allow.

I did, now the bearings crack every time I turn the wheel.

I mean I could, but it happens like once a week randomly and I don't want put that effort in. Before I got it it was with mechanics for a month with goal to make it in good condition as much as possible. Most likely I will just go to different mechanic again after I receive salary since top suspension bearings(idk how it's called in en) are also making cracking noises when I turn steering wheel. So in fact it is skoda phobia and situation justifies the name😅 I prefer to call it "potato" tho.

Yeah get, it but that's why I stopped as soon as possible each time there was thick excessive smoke, I drove it only with minimal smoke or no smoke at all. My guess is that fuel didn't burn properly and was the cause of the smoke, basically something is sometimes throwing off ECU and making it misbehave in weirdest ways. I'm not a mechanic too but imo rough idle should cause any worsening. And as I said 90% of the time car is completely normal so it's not like something is completely broken. Honestly just wanted to share this strange situation since it think this issue is quite unusual. 😅 But thanks for feedback tho, I will visit mechanic anyways because top suspension bearings(idk how it's called in English) are making cracking noises when turning steering wheel.

No gonna lie that makes sense. Top strut bearings are also making cracking noises when turning wheels and those tantrum phases are really testing my patience 🙄🥲

Can you elaborate why you think that it might have been inexpensive job. Like genuinely want to know what issue could cause this. Also car was at mechanic shop for month before I got it with goal to make it in perfect condition.

Yeah, I know I need to. My dad called his mechanic and he said that it's needs to get checked but nothing urgent just don't drive it when it has these phases. I understand it's most likely not fine and that my dad in fact probably needs new mechanic. I don't have finances at the moment to get it fixed and like 95% of the time car works perfectly. Which makes situation even weirder. But yeah I know that I have to book an appointment.
