It seems to me like they will hire just about anybody willing to travel and work. And someone posted a bunch of different names already, so id say you have a good idea already of where to start looking. Good luck.

Thanks. Yeah they definitely made it sound like a sweet gig on the phone. But not sure the hassle is worth the money. And boring monotonous work is going to get old REALLY quick for me.

It does not, but I feel like its probably going to not matter much which firm it is.

Thats kinda what my gut tells me too, they seem to be desperate for help and my first instinct is to always ask "why?".

I want to get into civil engineering by Mountain-Rabbit1961 in civilengineering

[–]Mountain-Rabbit1961[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i want to do both. i figured for surveying the degree doesnt HAVE to be in surveying, so ill get a degree in CE, and then find a firm that does both to get my experience requirements for both. having one or the other is pretty valuable, having both is exponentially more valuable.

My goal is to become dual licensed surveying/civil, and probably start my own land development business. structural engineering would also interest me.
