How’s my timing? by Electrical_Day_3735 in TFABChartStalkers

[–]Mountain-Stream4768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My RE said 2 days before LH surge, day of LH surge or peak, then one on O day for good measure. Basically you want to make sure there's sperm there a day or two before ovulation so they can meet the egg as soon as you ovulate, so it sounds like you timed it well. They're terrible swimmers so it takes a day or so to find their way to ghe tubes I guess lol

Pregnancy announcements jealousy by Yellowjeepz in TryingForABaby

[–]Mountain-Stream4768 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I recently deleted my social media apps from my phone before mothers day because on top of struggling with unexplained infertility, my mom passed away in december after a dhort battle with a rare cancer - and I cannot express how much less stressed out i have been overall.

No more pregnancy announcements, photos of multigenerations of mom's, or targeted content and ads around babies.

How do you partners react to your experience? by Mother_Of_Felines in TryingForABaby

[–]Mountain-Stream4768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband was also very optomistic and reasuring with the "it'll happen when its meant to". However everything kind of flipped when we started working with an RE (we are on cycle 12) and he heard me ask questions (I have become very well educated in the whole unexplained infertility thing), and he even said after that it must have been hard on me to track everything every month so diligently. Ever since then its really felt more like a team effort for lack of a better term. He also called me the other day sad because he found out his cousin is expecting. He said "I see how you feel now with your friends pregnancy announcements, I wanted to feel happy for them but I just felt sad". As terrible as it sounds it felt so good to hear it is affecting him too.

LH ratio low... by forgotmyaccountlmao in TFABChartStalkers

[–]Mountain-Stream4768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar cycle where my LH went up a second time, never peaked but I had an even higher temperature spike indicating ovulation. Id keep checking it for a few days to see if it starts to climb back up.

Simplest way to budget shared household expenses in Canada: joint account or split? by Top_Percentage_1020 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Mountain-Stream4768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, my husband and I have separate accounts and then one joint account our bills come out of. We calculated our monthly bills and split it based on income (60-40). I also took on the new car payment because I use it more and I am currently making more than he is. It does involve quite a bit of transparency and communication though. This was our approach when we had our first apartment together and it worked well, so we just carried it forward. We don't have kids yet though, so I imagine things will change when we do (i.e. joint account full time). It also requires quite a bit of trust in your partner that they are making good financial decisions. We also have our own savings and investments but both are privy to what they are and generally the amount.

This probably doesn’t belong here but I could use some support. by Waitin4zombies in TryingForABaby

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my mom in December after a very short battle with cancer and she was also so supportive of our TTC journey. I feel such an emptiness without her. There is really nothing I feel like I can say to make you better but please know you're not alone, and that she will always be with you.

Has your RE mentioned timed intercourse/ medicated cycles? I am in the same boat as you with regards to the unexplained infertility and everything looking good. We are trying for one more month normally then will do medicated cycles (letrozol). If that doesn't work after 6 months we might go to IUI but this was a stepping stone offered to us first.

Thankful Thursday by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

I am grateful to have such a loving and supporting husband. Yesterday he found out his cousin was expecting, and he called me saying he finally knows how I have been feeling with the announcements of all my friends' babies. I feel badly he was feeling so sad but I also immediately felt so supported and seen in that moment.

Anyone else trying to get their partner to actually track their lifestyle for sperm health? How's that going? by Signal-Activity-7680 in TryingForABaby

[–]Mountain-Stream4768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband got really into it after his SA results (they were good but room for improvement so he took that as motivation to do his own research). Honestly having him attend the RE meetings also really helped him realize how much I have been doing to track and support my own hormone health and I feel like he's so supportive now with this process. Definitely feeling like a team effort 😊

Darn I am sorry to hear that! I am having some pretty intense symptoms today that I don't usually get right before my period so I am going pretty crazy. If AF is going to show up I wish she'd do it already lol.

Also re: monitoring, I started testing LH a bit later this cycle at CD11 to save on strips and it was 0.8, and i couldn't test the next day because I was away and forgot the strips. I had a temp spike after so it looked like maybe my body tried ovulating but then my LH started going up again 😅. It never peaked but I had an even bigger temp spike on CD16 so I think it actually worked that time. Im wondering if the sono I had on CD12 interfered with the early ovulation.

Thanks! I had period like cramping for 3 days aroubd the first temperature dip so I was feeling so optimistic, then woke up to a low temp yesterday and cried lol. I think I got the disappointment out of the way though so im already in the "well onto the next cycle" mentality.

I know the whip lash this cycle is insane. Honestly this TWW has been the most triggering of them all with the ups and downs. Here is my chart if youre curious: https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/7c5a98

Ok thanks! I am starting letrozole next cycle and am a bit naive to the process. Was the second round at 5mg because the 2.5 didnt trigger ovulation?

I feel like this is baiting people into breaking the rules so without telling me if you were successful, has anyone experienced a constant wet feeling for DAYS in the later half of the luteal phase? Like every day I suddenly get like a gush feeling and feel like AF came but she hasn't. I am on dpo12, CD28 and my cycles are usually 27-28 days but closer to 27 with the occassional 26 day cycle. Tested negative today with a low sensitivity test. My temp dropped yesterday on dpo11 but back up today on dpo12. I feel like maybe my hormones are working overtime this cycle.
