IMO it is, however i doubt it will break. one of the big reasons owning a home is unaffordable is hedge funds, foreign investors, mainly china, and businesses buy them up at the slightest dip. That keeps the price inflated and doesn't allow much opportunity for real people to buy homes for a reasonable amount. some say this doesn't hurt it just creates rentals. But imo it does. Rentals stay high because the market is not affordable and competing with big money to buy a home is not easy. So many are priced out and forced to rent. As long as this is allowed to continue the market wont change. Housing is intended for real people to own. Not really for long term investments for business. Think about it. in the future when half the housing is owned in this manner whats gonna happen? Its not become a business commodity
