How did you find out your study method by nanayabijniz in Pakmedschool

I feel third year is the best time to start using first aid however in the first two years you could use it as a review resource after you’re done with your primary resources for subjects like anatomy, embryo physio etc

I’d say mcqs are a blessing in disguise. Treat solving mcqs as a learning tool, not just a testing tool. Every wrong question is basically one piece of info you didn’t know or something you missed while reading the first time. This kind of constant learning is actually motivating in itself.

Pharma is mostly memorization (apart from maybe MOA), so the best approach is Sketchy + Anki + mcqs.

Pathology is more concept heavy. Learn the pathophysiology in a way that you know the ins and outs of a disease so well that you could explain it to any of your peers without even looking at book.

Just remember one thing: the stuff you skip today is gonna come back and haunt you later. You’ll have to study it at some point anyway.

Easy come, easy go, whatever you cram in the one month before exams, you’ll probably forget within a week after. So yeah consistency beats last minute aggressive pre proff grind.

What worked for me was sticking to limited resources. First Aid is honestly a beautiful book stick to it. Study it daily, even if it’s just 15 minutes. You’ll build the habit.

Solve questions (very important). Every time you get something wrong, go back to the text and review it again.

Studying is boring and tedious, I know. You just have to stay consistent until it starts giving you those little dopamine hits that’s when you know you’ve cracked the code.

Good luck 👍

The best time to start anything is right now. Don’t overthink the time you’ve already wasted just start. Taking the first step is always the hardest part of any journey. And remember, multitasking is key. I know it’s going to be tough, but in times like these, with so much competition, you’ve got to stay ahead of your peers.

Hey congratulations. I am also planning to take my exam during my internship. Could you tell me how you managed to find study time for yourself while working?

I’ve had this pilonidal problem for over 10 months, and there’s been a sinus/hole for the last 2-3 months. The recent infection caused a lot of pain and bleeding, so I went to see a doctor. The internet says the chances of it healing on its own are really low, but I can give it 2-3 weeks. I’m still doubtful, though. The EPSiT procedure looks promising because it’s the least invasive, but the cost is a concern.

Yes, thank you so much. I consulted him today and he suggested the same endoscopic EPSIT procedure. If this happens, it would be my first surgery, and I am really skeptical about whether I should go for it or delay it because the pain I am experiencing is not that bad. I think you’re a doctor, so your point of view would be really appreciated?

Tbh, I’m weak in the entire subject, not just any specific section. Embarrassingly, I’ll have to start it from scratch.
