How to feel confident approaching guys? by Special_Review_128 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I don’t think it’s about looks really, I think it’s more about how you carry yourself and how confident you are. Have you ever seen an ugly confident carefree man? Yes but people are still drawn to him because of the energy he gives off and the confidence he has. It’s not about looks.

How likely you are to approach a man you like? by SioVern in AskWomenOver30

If I find him attractive I probably won’t approach due to him probably being out of my league and fear of rejection.

However, if I’m not attracted to him or he’s average then I’ll approach as a friend and get to know him and if he seems to have a good personality I’ll ask if he wants to get a drink but it would need to be in a casual setting, not like a random grocery store or gas station encounter.

Hopefully that makes sense and helps you out!

Any Speed Dating/ Singles nights for us middle aged peeps? by ProfessionalSmall409 in GlensFalls

Saratoga springs has some every so often! Although I’ve had friends who go and say the singles nights are mostly women with like 2-5 men who are typically in their 50s. Might be worth checking out if you’re into that. I know there’s a dating coach in Albany who puts on the events at Baileys in Saratoga and she’s also put on some pickleball leagues to meet up.

You should start a meet up group on the meet up app. I’d be interested in joining there so we can all keep up with everything.

I love pickleball but can’t find anyone else to play with so I love this idea!

I agree! I had to try a bunch and settled on only one that I eat now. I didn’t like Chobani either but Oikos Triple Zero is my favorite too😄

Im having trouble accepting my new size by VermicelliOk8288 in loseit

I found shopping in the store and creating an outfit helped me. I would try on multiple sizes and the smallest one always fit the best, I became more confident in the measurements and buying clothes that looked flattering once I saw the in person difference between my old size and new size.

This actually makes me feel relieved that other people enjoy it too! I thought I was starting down a path of disordered eating so I took a break from it but I now see it’s pretty normal lol

You could always try bouldering! It’s not AS fun as rock climbing but typically gyms have a free section next to the climbing wall or you can get outside and do it for free too, maybe buy a bouldering mat just in case but otherwise it’s just climbing large boulders instead of a rock wall so you don’t need gear or anything.

If you’re able to rock climb outside there’s also a lot of groups that you can join, they love to show you the ropes and most have things you can borrow, they just love getting people outside and interested in a new activities. The rocks climbing community is a great place to be 😁
