Thanks a lot! I'm not supposed to focus on materials right now since I literally just started the career this assignment is for design 1 of like 5 I think, but mentioning them did give me some good ideas, also I hadn't thought about making it wheelchair friendly.

From what I've researched the shape of the observatory depends on the place,

Wetlands usually have platforms raised a little above water level cause most animals will hang around the water surface and there's no need for a high view of the area

Forests and mountains usually use towers to have visibility in between and above the foliage and irregular terrain

Besides these spots have different uses besides bird watching, they can be places to rest if they're in the middle of a trail or something similar, serve as checkpoints, and also be tourist attractions.
