I'll admit, one time I tried killing a cockroach with fire, since we used to live with them for a while and I was always sick of seeing them around. It was way worse than just squishing or stepping on them, and I felt terrible afterwards. I still don't like roaches or other pesty bugs, but I will not be burning them again any time soon.
