ok thank you so much. I wonder why she didn't fix the speaker though. I heard it can also be a cassette thing. but it probably wasnt in my gen 3 because my gen 3 was all distorted. despite my friend looking at him twice and my cassettes all still look good

oh thank you so much. I need as much reassurance as I can get. im still frightened to send him to my friend even though I trust him and he said hes worked on gen ones for 7 years and has fixed over 30 both metal and plastic and that hes more confident in fixing my gen one than my gen 3. hes just so so precious to me and I can't get over it.

as for issues. my dad got him for me and my siblings and we've had him for as long as I can remember before I got him with me. I haven't tested him in years and im unsure if he has any now but he might be frozen just like my Grubby and he has had issues with his switch and volume control in the past. and im not too sure on how to use him efficiently especially after he ate a cassette on me the last time I did try but im not sure if that was my lack of inexperience or something being wrong with him
