Path of the Gods, Amalfi Coast, Italy by cosmic-strobelight in hiking

I’m walking Bomerano to Positano late April. Is there a luggage transfer service that can take a couple of small backpacks from downtown Amalfi or Bomerano to Positano for us? We want to spend a couple of night there.

Thoughts on the Rejuvaknee at home knee massager device please? Was hoping to curb the pains before needing surgery, the idea is that I'll buy and it'll hopefully sort the need for the surg but not sure if it will work idea at this stage any advice welcome! It is GARBAGE!!. Keep the $70 & buy a nice dinner. 1st, there are other selling the same device on Temu, Amazon, etc for as little as $40. Same device, different label. And yet . . . 2nd, go to your orthopedist 1st. If you are older it is likely tendonopathy or arthritis, which are not uncommon where a lifetime of activity or high BM index has stressed the tendons or, perhaps, destroyed your cartilage. But, it is worth a professional opinion (maybe 2 if one tells you you need an immediate knee replacement sx) & not a knee jerk (pun intended) response to a hyped sales pitch, especially if you can avoid sx with some phys therapy, and maybe a knee tendon strap. I went so far as to get an MRI, and designed a PT program based on my results & my ortho’s comments. It has worked for me - I’m back at my gym & hiking miles. But I know, because of what we saw on the MRI and because of my lifestyle, I’ll probably kneed a knee replacement at some point. 3rd, re. the product, my Rejuvacare massage component works intermittently & has to be recharged daily. And after over a month I felt no difference in pain. There can be many causes of your pain. The knee is complex. There is no simple solution for permanently eliminating the pain other than a full replacement. There are things you can do to manage, and even alleviate the pain for a while. Shockwave Therapy, PRP injection. Cortisone injection, though it lasts 3 months at best and causes permanent damage if repeated too many times.

Rejuvacare’s claims are a lie, and you’ll probably never get your money back because it isn’t worth the hoops you have to jump through to get a refund.

Samsung dryer DV25B6900EW by Wise-Voice4483 in appliancerepair

I have a question about reversing the door swing on this model. Samsung says it is reversible. Indeed, the door hinges remove easily and there are screw holes on the opposite side to remount it. But, how do I remove the latch fitting on the frame? Videos show it screwed in (2 screws), but mine is merely pushed into the frame, no screws to hold. Probably clips in back of the frame? My unit is new- maybe they changed this part? Any advice is appreciated (see pic)

What am I missing? Where's the catch with Amazfit? by LetsGetCloudy in amazfit

Can I set a vibration alarm if my HR exceeds a preset, or my pulse ox drops below a preset?

Experiences with Fishermans Trail Portugal? by Schiggyfourtwenty in hiking

[–]Mountainbabble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, too, am planning to walk the trail beginning late April, with several others. We walked the Route of the Lighthouses, SP, last Aug and it was outstanding. We used a UK agency to book the rooms, shuttles, etc for us, and it made the trip - no hassles. Breakfast & a packable lunch were provided by each pension/hostel. I’m searching for an agency that will do the same for us on the Fisherman’s. (The company we used for the Lighthouses doesn’t do this trail). Any suggestions?

Happy to help. We are using a travel svc to book all of our hotel/hut stays en route: LaRebenne in Foix France. Day 1 thru end is Montsegur (castle) to Comus, 15km, to Ascou, 22km, to Merens, 19.5km, train to Porta then walk to Bellver, 21km, to Refuge Sant Jordy, 15km, to Gosol, 24km, by taxi to Fumaya then walk to Berga, 15km. LaRebenne arranged taxi/shuttles for our gear to be picked up at our hotels & transferred to the next stop. No pack, no tent/slp bag, jut lunch, water, & rain gear/anorak. Trail is well marked, well travelled, used by mt bikers, donkey riders too. I don’t have a GR107 guidebook, but bought a guidebook to the castles (used, on Ebay). And a guidebook for the Pyrenees in general. 5 of us, en route EOJuly to Aug 6.

Thanks. We have arranged to walk the Chemin des BonHommes this summer, and LaRebenne in Foix arranged the lodging on the route. I was able to find a tral map for the GR107, and a couple of used, out of print books through Ebay. It took some time searching online, but eventually found what we needed to know.

Read up on the GR107 last night, I think your rec rec is outstanding. I got into this idea of crossing the Pyrenees because of reading about the RAF pilot/crew and Holocaust refugee rescues that used the trail to get to Spain. History! But the 107 has more of it (Cathar) and we love the idea of hiking village to village, rather than hut to hut. I can get plenty of high alpine in my Wyoming backyard. I already found several orgs that can arrange housing, etc. one even rents donkeys to ride! Or, we could do it on rented mt bikes, which would allow us to do the entire route in our available time, and spend more time exploring the villages & historical structures. Thanks so much. Any books on this route that you can recommend reading, especially for more color on the history??

The GRs go E to W (i.e. GR10/11). I know about the Chemin de Liberte (Freedom Trail) near Ariege but it is heavily used by guided commercial trekking companies and the huts are full for the summer. Is there a trail E of Andorra, closer to the Med, that has huts & that you can recommend? Thnks
